Chapter 359
Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David)
Chapter 359
There was dead silence below the stage when the piano music ended.
Rachel stood up with a generous smile and said courteously, âPlease forgive me if my performance is
not perfect.â
Hearing Rachelâs speaking, everyone gradually recovered from the shock.
Some people started applauding. Then deafening applause arose.
Below the stage, Olivia felt her face burning as if she had been slapped hard. Olivia shouted inside,
âRachel knows how to play the piano!
âMoreover, Rachel seems so skillful that she must learn piano for years!â
âI wonder if Miss Cruise is satisfied with my performance?â asked Rachel.
Olivia came back to her senses and gazed at Rachel. Olivia took a deep breath and tried her best to
squeeze out a smile, replying, âI have to say Miss Grey is talented. Iâm ashamed of my inferiority.â
Although Olivia said so, deep down, she wanted to rush up and tear Rachelâs face apart.
Olivia shouted inside, âThat bitch must do this deliberately to embarrass me!â
Rachel realized the jealousy and anger in Oliviaâs eyes. Thus, Rachel smiled and said, âMiss Cruise is
being humble. I havenât practiced for a long time. How can I compare to Miss Cruise and Miss Smith?
You are the young ladies from noble. families.â
Rachelâs light tone could not hide the aggressiveness.
The smile on Oliviaâs face froze.
Mary was the first to reply, âThings related to art donât count on diligence, but talent.â
When people present heard this, they echoed, âDiligence and hard work seem so weak if compared
with talent.â
âMiss Cruise has always been called a talented lady. Now, it seems that this title belongs to someone
else.â
âAlthough Rachel is not from a prestigious family, she has an outstanding appearance, intelligence, and
talent. What is Mr. Smith thinking? Why did he choose Olivia Cruise over Miss Grey?â
âHow can the Cruise family be considered a wealthy family now? Olivia is not a fair lady. Those people
call her like that because of business needs.â
âIâm curious about which familyâs daughter would seduce a married man!â
âAs the saying goes, the apple doesnât fall far from the tree. Donât forget that the current Mrs. Cruise
gets what she wants by her remarkable seducing skills!â
In just a minute, Olivia had turned from a highly soughtâafter target to the biggest laughing stock in the
hall.
Standing beside Olivia, Jane felt extremely embarrassed. She glared at Olivia angrily and left.
Rachel raised her eyebrows slightly and asked, âAre you satisfied with the result, Miss Cruise?â Rachel
was sneering, and her lips looked like dangerous poppy flowers.
Olivia lost control when hearing those words. She glared fiercely at Rachel and said, âYou did it
deliberately!â
Rachel chuckled and replied, âBut youâre the one who forced me to go on stage.â Then she slowly
reached out her hand toward Oliviaâs face.
Oliviaâs pupils constricted. Olivia subconsciously dodged and stared warily at Rachelâs demonic claw,
asking, âWhat do you want?â
Rachel reached out to grab Oliviaâs chin and gently patted Oliviaâs face, saying, âThink about it. You
asked for it. However, I have to thank you anyway. Without you, I wonât be able to stand out.â
Rachelâs every word was filled with intense mockery.
The sense of mockery was strong especially when Rachel slapped Oliviaâs face. It was obvious that
Rachel did not use much strength, but Olivia felt her face burning.
Olivia felt ashamed of being stepped on and humiliated by Rachel.
Oliviaâs breathing became faster, and her eyes gradually turned red due to extreme anger and
unwillingness.
When Olivia was about to go crazy, Rachel reminded her, âMiss Cruise, watch your manners. Youâre a
lady from a wealthy family.â
After speaking, Rachel smiled and left, passing Olivia.
