Chapter 373
Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David)
Chapter 373
Olivia was so nervous that her palms were covered in sweat.
Lisa was like an ant on a hot pan, unable to sit still.
Through the crowd, she winked at Olivia and was planning on leaving quietly.
âMiss Smash, before the police arrive, I advise you not to act rashly!â Rachelâs cold voice sounded
behind her. âJust in case that you attract unnecessary suspicion and wonât be able to clear your name.â
When Lisa heard this, she instantly froze on the.spot.
She bit her lip, her eyes filled with panic.
Rachel saw her expression and smiled sarcastically. âMiss Smash, why are you sweating so much?â
âI, Iâ¦â Lisa was so nervous that her mind went blank. She stammered for a long time, âItâs a little too
stuffy here. I just wanted to go out and take a breather.â
Before she could finish her sentence, she heard footsteps coming from the other end of the corridor.
Everyone looked in the direction of the voice and saw two uniformed police officers walking over from
afar.
When she saw the two police officers, Lisaâs knees inexplicably went weak and she almost fell to the
ground.
âWho called the police?â
âItâs me!â Stuart walked out of the room.
He stepped forward and told the officers everything that had happened.
âDid you check the surveillance cameras around here?â a police officer asked.
âThere was a malfunction in the surveillance camera last night, so we couldnât see anything,â replied
Stuart.
When the police officer who was taking the statement heard this, he looked up and exchanged a
meaningful glance with the police officer in charge of questioning. A smile flashed across his eyes as
he said calmly, âWhat a coincidence.â
When everyone heard this, they immediately sensed something.
âAccording to you, all the rooms at the scene have been searched. Is this the only room left?â the police
officer in charge of questioning asked.
Stuart frowned and seemed to be deep in thought.
At that moment, Rachel suddenly said, âThereâs also a room at the end of the corridor.â
When everyone heard this, their gazes landed on Rachel.
However, the policeman walked down the corridor and stopped in front of a certain door. âIs this the
one?â
âYes,â said Rachel.
For some reason, Olivia had a bad feeling when she saw this scene.
She subconsciously twisted her wrist in an attempt to break free from Rachelâs restraints.
However, her meager strength was no match for Rachel.
Olivia looked at Rachel with an abnormally cold gaze. âWhat the hell do you
want?â
The corners of Rachelâs lips curved into a faint smile as she said casually, âOf course Iâm playing along
with your act.â
Hearing this, Oliviaâs entire body was covered in coldness, and she could not help but tremble.
She was now certain that she had fallen into Rachelâs trap again!
She thought, âThis bitch had planned everything from the beginning!
âPerhaps Jane had also been tricked by this bitch in front of us!â
The police officers knocked on the door for a long time, but there was no response. They looked at
each other. Their high professionalism made them sensitive to the possibility that there might be an
unspeakable secret in this room.
At that moment, the room manager ran over, panting, and took out his room card. âOfficers, this is the
key card for the room.â
After handing the room card to the police, he silently retreated to the side, as if there was a ferocious
beast inside.
Everyone curiously went forward to take a look. âWhose room is that?â
âI donât know.â
âI think it belongs to Mr. Smithâs⦠younger sister?â
In the room, Louis frowned when he heard this.
Olivia grabbed his hand and looked at him nervously. âLouis, where are you going?â
âIâm going take a look at Jane,â said Louis.
No matter what, she was still his biological sister.
He noticed that Oliviaâs face was deathly pale. There was a layer of cold sweat on her forehead. She
was like a little white flower ravaged by a storm. âWhatâs wrong?â
