Chapter 383
Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David)
Chapter 383
âWhy should I tell you?â Rachel raised her eyebrows and glanced at her with a faint smile.
Olivia choked and gritted her teeth secretly. She looked at Mrs. Zane, who was sitting in the front row,
with some concern. Olivia deliberately lowered her voice. and gnashed her teeth. âNo matter what you
want to do, I would advise you to behave yourself!â
Rachel lowered her head and looked at the phone. When she heard this, she slowly raised. âDid Louis
ask you to get close to Mrs. Zane and in order to Zaneâs invest?â
get
Mr.
When Olivia heard this, she instantly became very cautious. Her eyes were filled with vigilance as she
reminded Rachel, âHow did you know?â
Rachel sneered without hiding after seeing Oliviaâs expression. âI feel much more at ease with you
around.â
Oliviaâs face suddenly fell and looked as cold as there was ice on it once she sensed Rachelâs disdain
in her words. âRachel, what do you mean?â
âJust mean it literally.â Rachel glanced at her with a faint smile. âBut I wonât let get your own way.â
you
Oliviaâs expression suddenly changed. âRachel, I suggest you do not act rashly! Otherwise, youâre
digging your own grave!â
This investment is very important to the Smith Group.
It was precisely Rachel who seized it without holding back because they knew the importance of this
investment.
She wanted the Smith family to see how they would slowly lose what they had
now!
After a twoâhour ride, the car finally stopped in front of an inconspicuous empty space.
The orphanage which located in the wasteland with nothing around was especially eyeâcatching.
The director knew early that they were coming and had already stood at the door to welcome them.
The staff got the things out of the car in good order.
âIs this place going to be demolished?â Rachel looked around and asked softly.
When the director heard what Rachel said, he could not help but reveal a trace of worry in his eyes. He
sighed faintly. âThatâs right. Originally, we still had the right to use this piece of land for decades, but the
developer insisted that we were
suspected of illegal construction and had to demolish it. However, what would happen to these children
if it was demolished?â
Rachel followed the directorâs gaze, and she saw the children leaning against the window, watching
them.
Their big, rounded eyes were filled with curiosity and vigilance, like those cats facing a stranger who
had barged into their territory.
âItâs not that difficult,â Olivia suddenly said. âSince we canât keep this place, we can just move to
another place.â
Everyone was in silence after she spoke. A few people stared at her.
Olivia was suddenly nervous. Did she say something wrong?
Rachel looked at her with a mocking smile.
Olivia was really stupid.
If things were as simple as she said, the orphanage director would not be that worried.
First, they had to handle the resettlement work of the children after the orphanage was demolished.
Second, it would be a challenge for the government to approve the use of the land. Lastly, there were a
series of expenses for the subsequent construction of the orphanage.
There were also some other subsequent issues.
If any step went wrong, the orphanage director would definitely be overwhelmed. It was definitely not
as simple as Olivia said.
âMrs. Zane, did I say something wrong?â Olivia asked carefully.
Sophie smiled. âNothing.â
Olivia relieved secretly after hearing this. She did not notice the imperceptible indifference in Sophieâs
eyes.
Following the lead of the director, Rachel toured the orphanage with others.
When she passed by a photo wall, Rachel could not help but stop her trace.
