Chapter 388
Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David)
Chapter 388
Just as the two of them were about to get into the car, a silver BMW pulled over in front of them.
The car window slowly rolled down, revealing Davidâs handsome and indifferent face. His exquisite
beauty was like a work of art.
Under the afterglow of the setting sun, the manâs side profile was covered in a layer of pale golden light
like a god.
Olivia, who had just gotten out of the car, got a little enchanted when she saw Davidâs face.
She couldnât believe there was such a beautiful man in this world.
But David didnât notice Olivia at all. As he glanced at the group of people in front of him, he finally fixed
his eyes on Rachel. His eyes glistened coldly and then he smiled. âIs everything done?â
Rachel nodded.
Then David opened the door and got off the car. He reached out his arms and grabbed Rachelâs tiny
waist naturally, asking, âWhat do you wanna have tonight? French? Chinese food? Kaiseki Ryori?â
Before Rachel could say anything, Mrs. Zane and Sophie took the initiative to speak, âMr. Jones, Miss
Grey. If you donât mind, why donât you guys stay here for dinner tonight?â
Mr. Zane chimed in, âYeah, I happen to have something to discuss with Miss Grey.â
Hearing that, Rachelâs eyes sparkled and she said, âWill I disturb you two?â
âNot at all,â Sophie said hurriedly, âI love learning how to cook all kinds of dishes. Iâve always hoped
that someone can give me some opinions. Iâll be thrilled if guys can come.â
Rachel turned to look at David as if she was asking for his opinion.
David raised an eyebrow and said, âWhatever you say.â
Rachel smiled, âThen letâs go.â
âMrs. Zaneâ¦â Olivia chased after Mrs. Zane hurriedly.
you
But Sophie knew what Olivia was up to at a glance. She gave Olivia a cold and distant smile and said,
âMiss Cruise, you must have been quite exhausted after running around with us today. I think youâd
better go back to the hotel and have a good rest.â
With that, she turned around and left without looking back.
With such an attitude, Mrs. Zane was obviously drawing a line with Olivia.
Olivia bit her lip, her eyes filled with unwillingness.
The Summers family from Pollister was comparable to the Johnson family from Seaxas.
The reason why the Summers family had prospered for more than a hundred years was not only
because of the illustrious battle achievements of their ancestors but also because Mr. Johnson knew
how to stay lowâkey.
When they walked into the house of the Summers family, they immediately felt the politeness and
strictness of the Summers family.
They could tell that the Summers family had a strict family tradition.
âPlease make yourselves feel at home.â Sophie gestured for the servant to serve them coffee
Not long after they sat down, Mr. Johnson arrived late with his walking stick. Although he was already
80 years old, he still gave an intimidating aura.
His hair had already turned grey but his eyes were still quite sharp, from which they could tell that he
must be a tough guy when he was still young.
When he saw David, Mr. Johnson suddenly became quite serious and said respectfully, âMr. Jones.â
âMr. Johnson,â David nodded slightly.
Rachel glanced at David with a faint smile in her eyes.
She suddenly realized that there were many benefits to having a boyfriend with high status.
They could get into any place they wanted with his name.
In the living room, the men were chatting about their own topics.
Rachel decided to sit and chat with Eleanor and Sophie.
First, they talked about their hobbies and interests and then they switched to their boyfriends until Katy,
Logan, who was Sophieâs son, and Zion, the current heir of the Summers family, walked in.
Logan had met Rachel several times so they werenât strangers.
However, Zion, the heir of the Summers family, kind of surprised Rachel.
The man was wearing a black suit with a buzz cut, giving Rachel a very domineering aura.
When Rachel first saw Zion, it was not difficult to tell that Zion and Lucas had the same vibe.
The second Zion walked in, he glanced at everyone in the living room before fixing his eyes on Rachel.
