Chapter 412
Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David)
Chapter 412
Rachel thought she was hallucinating.
At this moment, she heard a voice coming from the bedroom.
A chill rose from the bottom of her feet and quickly spread to her limbs and bones. The blood in her
body instantly froze.
Rachel tried her best to control the panic in her heart. She casually grabbed the baseball bat hidden in
the shoe cabinet and slowly approached the bedroom.
At this moment, Rachelâs phone suddenly rang. It was a call from David.
âYouâre not at the office?â
âYeah,â Rachel replied.
Her almondâshaped eyes were cold as she stared fixedly at the bedroom. Her steps forward slowly
changed to retreat.
If Rachel was still planning to capture the other party alive, she was much sober the moment she
received Davidâs call.
Finally, she had the reaction that a normal person should have.
When faced with danger, the first thing she should think about was not how to face it, but how to
cleverly dodge and ensure that she would not be harmed at all.
âWait for me for a moment. Iâll be right down. Yes, very soon.â.
As she spoke, she picked up her things and left.
www
The moment she went out, she quickly ran to the elevator. âDavid, someone broke into my apartment!â
She did not realize that her voice was trembling uncontrollably.
David was picking roses from the florist.
When he heard Rachelâs words, his handsome face seemed to be covered in a layer of frost. âGo to a
crowded place immediately and wait for me to find you!â
After hanging up, he got into the car.
The halfâhour drive only took ten minutes.
Even so, it did not dispel the uneasiness in the depths of his heart.
He gripped the steering wheel tightly and sped up.
When David arrived, Rachel had already contacted the nearby police to investigate.
After some investigation, nothing was missing from the room, so there was no way to make a record of
it.
After sending the police off, David walked to Rachelâs side and held her cold hand. âDo you want some
water?â
âMm.â Rachel nodded.
David handed her a cup of warm water. After pondering for a moment, he suddenly said, âRaeâRae,
can you go with me?â
âWhere are we going?â Rachel subconsciously blurted out.
She looked up and met Davidâs dark eyes. She suddenly understood the meaning behind his words.
The point of going with him was not to go anywhere, but to be with him.
Seeing that Rachel did not reply for a long time, David had a faint smile. âThis place is not safe enough.
How about temporarily staying at Sandalwood Hills?â
This was Davidâs biggest concession.
He could not put Rachel in danger.
âOkay.â
The planned date was disrupted by the intrusion of a stranger.
However, Rachel had a reason to live in Sandalwood Hills.
After settling her down, David called Jimmy.
âDid you find out anything?â
âThe surveillance videos have all been erased, and we canât find any clues from the surrounding
surveillance videos.â Jimmy paused for a moment. âDavid, actually, I have a bold guess in my heart. Do
you think the clan is looking for us?â
With Davidâs identity, if the clan knew that he had feelings for Rachel, they would definitely not let it go.
The Elders were a bunch of sanctimonious despicable people. They talked about benevolence and
morality, but they were actually the most vicious. They might do something.
Davidâs eyes narrowed slightly. His deep and cold voice seemed to be covered in frost, revealing
horrible indifference. âNo!â
