Chapter 463
Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David)
Chapter 463
âWhat else can I do?â Rachelâs exquisite eyebrows twitched. Her frowns and smiles revealed a hint of
unknowing charm.
David stared at her exquisite and beautiful face, and his eyes darkened.
He held the shopping bag in one hand and wrapped his other hand around her slender waist. He bent
down slightly and pressed his thin lips against her temple on one side. His warm breath blew against
her ear as he said deliberately in a deep and cold voice, âOf course, marry me.â
Rachel raised her chin slightly and breathed on his face. She looked like a seductive fairy.
Just as David was about to bend down and kiss her, she suddenly pushed him away mercilessly and
said proudly, âYou are dreaming!â
With that, she walked straight to the elevator.
David watched her back as she was leaving. His eyes were dark and unclear, and his thin lips curled
into an indulgent smile as he followed her unhurriedly.
Watching the two of them leave one after the other, Billy asked from the bottom of his heart, âIsnât Miss
Grey looking down on Mr. Jones too much?â
Eddie glanced at Billy with disdain. âWhat do you know? Thatâs love!â
Billy didnât see David enjoying himself so much!
With Davidâs identity and status, as long as he moved his hand as a signal, the women in Aureliana
would want nothing more than to pounce on him like hungry wolves.
However, David was not interested in those women at all. He hadnât even given them a look.
He only had a particular love for Rachel.
At first, Eddie and Billy had thought that David was just playing with her.
But now, for the sake of Rachel, David had eliminated all of the spies sent by the Elders in no time.
This alone was enough to prove that Rachelâs position in Davidâs heart was unique.
Eddie sighed deeply from the bottom of his heart, saying. âMiss Greyâs luck is
to come.â
After Rachel and David ate something, the car drove them all the way to Sandalwood Hills.

On the way, Rachel received a call from Lucas. âWhatâs wrong?â
âI heard from my father that my aunt has been found.â Lucas paused for a moment. Even though he
had never met his aunt before, he knew her place in Rachelâs heart and was unwilling to mention the
word âashesâ in front of Rachel.
Rachelâs pupils constricted. âWhen were they found? Where were they found? Who found them?â
Lucas did not know how to answer her three consecutive questions.
âAccording to my dad, itâs Darcy who found them.â Lucas chuckled. âDarcy is still as omnipotent as
before.â
When talking on the phone, Rachel did not deliberately avoid David, so he vaguely heard something.
Davidâs eyes darkened and a cold glint flashed across them.
Rachel frowned a little. Her beautiful eyes narrowed as if she was thinking.
If Rachel had heard such words from Lucas before, she would have thought that Lucas was praising
Darcy.
After all, on her path of growth, Darcy had accompanied her like a guardian angel.
He had risked his life for her more than once and taught her many things.
Logically speaking, Rachel should have believed Darcy without any doubt. However, this time, she
could not help but have a trace of doubt in her heart.
How could she not be suspicious that even the Johnson family failed to find anything while Darcy was
able to find the ashes in such a short time?
After hanging up, Rachel seemed to be laden with worries.
âIs Darcy one of the people belonging to the Johnson family?â David asked.
Rachel shook her head. âI donât remember when he appeared in the Johnson family. I only remember
that he has been by my side all these years and will appear each time I needed him.â
