Chapter 504
Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David)
Chapter 504
His words successfully attracted Thomasâs attention. He grabbed Lucasâs arm and asked. âWho is the
other party?â
âYouâll have to ask Rae-Rae about that.â As Lucas spoke, the phone in his pocket. rang. He patted
Thomasâs shoulder and turned away.
Thomas frowned slightly and looked down at the concert tickets in his hand. His fingers tightened.
Did he miss her after all?
After Rachel made an excuse to avoid Thomas, she casually found a remote corner and sat down.
She took out her phone and texted David, (Gentle Reminder: youâve been ignoring your little cutie for
an hour.]
After sending it out, she held her chin and quietly waited for Davidâs message.
Then Mary appeared from behind. âWhat are you thinking about? Why are you so engrossed?â
Rachel turned around in a daze. When she saw Mary, the coldness between her eyebrows
disappeared a little. âWhere have you been? Iâve been looking for you all the time.â
Hearing her, Maryâs eyes flickered slightly. She raised her hand and tidied the hair at her temples. âOf
course, Iâm hiding aside to watch the show.â
âWhat kind of show?â Rachel asked.
Mary smiled wickedly. âI watched you entangled with Thomas, of course.â
Just as Rachel was about to explain, Mary quickly extended her hand to stop her from speaking. âI
know your attitude, but Thomas clearly doesnât think so. The way he looks at you can melt even a block
of ice.â
Hearing her analogy, Rachel couldnât help but laugh. âWe used to play together when we were kids. Itâs
not as exaggerated as you say.â
âIâm afraid thatâs not what the other party thinks,â Mary said faintly.
She suddenly thought of something. âOh, Yulia Wand, the movie star. Her wedding dress model has
been completed. The embroiderers in the studio are sewing it these few days. Go over and take a look
when you have time.â
The wedding dress gave off a lively feeling. In order to avoid an accident, Mary thought it would be
safer for Rachel to take a look personally.
âOkay,â said Rachel with a nod.
A message popped up on her phone as she finished her sentence. She couldnât help but smile. âIâm
going out and talk to you later.â
Rachel walked out of the rest area and coincidentally met Thomas at the elevator.
âRae-Rae.â
The moment she saw Thomas, the smile on Rachelâs lips became slightly distant. âMr. Shain.â
âRae-Rae. I remember you used to like The Count of Monte Cristo very much. Coincidentally, my friend
gave me two concert tickets, so I wanted to invite youâ¦â
âBut Iâve never liked The Count of Monte Cristo. I only enjoy the pleasure of revenge. I like to see
people who have done all kinds of bad things get what they deserve,â Rachel interrupted him. âIf you
donât mind, Iâd better go before my boyfriend gets worried.â
âYour boyfriend?â Thomas frowned. âWhen did you start dating? Why havenât I heard anyone mention it
before?â
When Rachel heard him, a hint of impatience appeared in her eyes. âIt is my personal affair, and I donât
have to report it to you.â
In her mind, Thomas had always been steady and prudent, much more so than Lucas, who did
whatever he wanted.
But now, Thomas gave her the feeling that she had misjudged him.
Seeing that Rachel was slightly displeased, Thomas quickly calmed down his inner panic. âI donât mean
anything by it. I just want to ask you about his family background, how he treats you, and⦠how long
have you been together?â
