The next morning, Rachel washed up and went downstairs for breakfast.

While eating, she looked up at David. “Lend me your car later.”

Rachel’s eyes flickered with excitement.

David’s garage had more cars than Lucas, including many priceless car models.

“You want to be a driver?” Rachel stood in front of the car and looked at David with raised eyebrows.

David smiled. “I’m your exclusive driver.”

The words were on the tip of her tongue, but Mary had no choice but to swallow them. She picked up

her coffee and took a sip.

Rachel swiped the phone screen with her fingertips and picked up the call.

“Rachel, it’s me.” Lily’s sweet and gentle voice came through the phone. “Rachel, it’s Dad’s birthday in

a few days. He said that he misses you a lot/since we haven’t seen each other in these years. He

hopes that you can come home and have a good reunion dinner with our family.”

“Reunion dinner?” A mocking smile appeared on Rachel’s lips. “Do I know you very well?”

The bright light shone on Rachel’s flawless face, making the coldness between her – eyebrows even

clearer.

Hearing her words, Lily choked on the words she had prepared.

She pondered for a moment before speaking again. “Rachel, Dad has already forgiven you for what

happened back then. Why do you have to take it to heart and cause our family to drift apart?”

Rachel sneered and said slowly, “Family? But where were you when I was left to starve and freeze in

the snow?”
