Chapter 98
Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David)
Rachel was wearing a burgundy velvet suit with a black lace sling inside. The female sexiness in her
capable and decisive
temperament was evident. Her long hair was casually tied into a simple bun, and a few strands of hair
hung down from her temples, exuding a casual charm.
She exuded an innate pride and confidence as she walked over step by step without looking sideways.
She carried herself with an aura that was difficult for one to ignore.
This kind of aura was innate, deeply engraved in her bones day after day. It was as if everything in the
world was under her control. Olivia couldnât stand Rachelâs pride the most. It was as if nothing in this
world could hit her fancy.
In Oliviaâs eyes, Rachel was just a person born in the countryside who had no power or influence and
Rachel had nothing to show off in front of her.
The disgust and hatred in Oliviaâs eyes flashed across, replaced by a gentle smile on her face. âRachel,
long time no see.â
Rachel glanced at her expressionlessly. Her cold and steady voice sounded. âYou really donât take your
lesson!â
Olivia lowered her eyes and looked like she was about to cry. âRachel, are you still not forgiving me?â
As she spoke, she reached out to pull Rachelâs arm.
However, Rachel avoided her imperceptibly and walked straight to Old Mr. Smithâs room.
Jane was furious when she saw her arrogant look. âRachel, are you blind? There are so many elders
here. Donât you have the manners to greet them?â
Rachelâs lips curled into a cold smile. Her cold gaze swept across everyone in the hall as she said
frostily, âThose who have watched
me grow up and care for me all the time are called elders. Do you think you people⦠are worthy of
being my elders?â
Everyone present had hurt her before.
Everyone appeared elegant and noble, but their actions were despicable and shameless.
The fact that Rachel did not get even with them was already the greatest tolerance she had for the
group of people in front of her. It was simply wishful thinking for her to bow down and curry favor with
them!
âLook at your outfit. Looks like youâve climbed up the social ladder, so now you look down on us.â At
this moment, a woman in a purple dress spoke in a sarcastic tone. She sized up Rachel with a faint
smile.
The woman in front of Rachel was married to Louisâs second uncle. When she was young, she was
also a rare beauty. Unfortunately, as time went by, her exquisite and beautiful oval face turned into her
current sharp and mean face.
Previously, when Rachel was in the Smith family, she often mocked Rachel. Now that she knew that
Rachel had been chased out of the Smith family, she became even more unscrupulous.
As the saying goes, three women make a show. With so many women here, they were enough to
drown Rachel with saliva.
âYouâre all dressed up now, but youâve forgotten where you come from!â
âIf Louis hadnât been kind enough to bring you back to the Smith family back then, you wouldnât even
know where you are now! Why are you looking down on us now that youâve climbed up the social
ladder? Rachel, you have no conscience at all!â
Rachel gave a short laugh, but there was a terrifying coldness in the depths of her almondâshaped
eyes. âDo you think youâre qualified to talk about conscience with me? Have you forgotten that if it
werenât for me, the Smith family would have gone bankrupt long ago? Am I the one who has no
conscience or you people!â
âHow dare yon!â Mrs. Smith slammed the table and stood up to her feet. âRachel, what kind of place do
you think this is? Do you think you can behave atrociously at will?â
Rachel looked at her with mockery in the corners of her eyes. âIâve already behaved atrociously in front
of you many times. What the difference does it make if I behaved atrociously again?â
âYou!â Mrs. Smith glared at her and sneered. âYou severely injured Olivia in public, and now youâre
spouting nonsense in front of the Smith family. You know that you canât marry into the Smith family.
Youâre completely unleashing your nature and doing whatever you
want!â
Upon hearing her words, Rachel raised her eyebrows slightly, her eyes darting around everyone
present. She understood something as she saw a gloating smile on everyoneâs face.
This group of people did not just appear here to drink coffee and chat. They had specially waited here
for her to criticize her!
Rachelâs expression was indifferent, and a trace of mockery flashed past her eyes.
Wasnât this group of people best at gathering together and criticizing others with the airs of elders?
However, in the past, Rachel had swallowed her anger for Louis. Now, she had no scruples!
