The One Night Stand Turns Out To Be My Professor

Sophiaâs POV
Things werenât going the way I had expected them to go. I didnât know if it was safe to say that things were going terribly wrong. I didnât like all that was happening. First it was m with the whole new powers I didnât know about, then Jenny getting kidnapped and turned against her will, now it was the council not accepting that she was one of them. They kept calling her âhumanâ. And it irritated the shit out o me.
âIan, Iâm sorry but this girl has to go,â one of the ladies said through gritted teeth. I didnât know her name. I hadnât ever bothered. There was no reason for me to. However, I did recognize Viktor and Aldric. And I needed to have a word with them. Especially Aldric who seemed to have taken on Viktorâs talkative role.
âShe cannot,â Ian snapped.
âAre you being for real right now?â The lady snapped, her eyes narrowed on Ian. âShe is so fucking disrespectful. She doesnât know her bounds. She will cause harm for us!â
I studied the lady. She looked like she was the youngest amongst all the people sitted here in the council and with the way she dresses, I could tell she frequented the human world.
âShe was disrespectful because you all refused to show her some respect too. You canât be insulting her and expect her to remain quiet and take it without retaliating. Jenny is not like that. Sheâll fight back and that is exactly what we need,â Ian replied flatly. âSomeone that can fight back.â
âIan,â Aldric began, a frown on his face but I stepped forward, standing beside Ian and fixing a cold stare on Aldric. His gaze shifted to me and he sneered silently. I could see the hatred clearly in his eyes.
âYou have been disrespectful to my friend, Aldric. I donât like that. Sheâs now one of us and Iâd like it if you treat her like she is,â I said calmly, my eyes lingering on Aldric for a moment before I fixed everyone else with my stare.
âWhat you like and what you donât like is none of our concern, woman. Step aside, Iâm talking to our king,â he replied with narrowed eyes.
âI donât think weâre done here, Aldric,â I murmured with a shake of my head. âIâm afraid you canât talk to Ian until you and I have spoken to our understanding. Am I clear?â I deadpanned and he got up, pishing his chair back with a loud scrape that made me since. âThatâs not polite.â
His eyes moved to Ian at my words, his gaze turning darker. âCaution your little pet, Ian. I bite,â he threatened as his eyes met mine once again.
I could see Ianâs fist turning white but that wasnât what I was interested in at the moment. I needed to make this little vampire bastard listen to me first.
âIâm not anyoneâs pet, Aldric,â I replied him with a sigh. âAnd I think youâre the one who needs to be careful. Seriously now. Youâre getting on my nerves. A lot.â
His eyes went wide as he scrunched up his nose. âWhat kind of people do you being into the fucking castle, Ian?â He spat out. âFirst thag girl, Jenny. And now this insolent little creature who I can end with a thought?â
All of a sudden, the world went still. Like it was going in slow motion. And the powers I had been trying so hard to contain in me unleased violently, slamming into Aldric and throwing him against the far end of the council chamber.
It all happened within the blink of an eye. Him crashing against the wall and Ian standing up swiftly to protect me. All the other vampires were on their feet and I could tell that theyâd have made the attack if Ian wasnât currently with us, protecting me.
Yet I wasnât going to let myself get distracted with what I was saying. I wasnât scared that they all stared st me like I was their latest prey, their next victim. I sidestepped Ian and took a step forward fixing each of them with a scare once again while Aldric remained by the wall, moaning and groaning as he turned left and right ont the wall.
âThat should serve as a reminder to not get me annoyed. All of you. And also, Jenny must not be hurt. Because if she does, I will slowly take each and every one of you apart. But by but until youâre begging me for death,â I said slowly, meeting their eyes once again and making sure that I saw that my message was passed across. âYou all will protect her all the damn time. Make sure no harm befalls her.â
I flashed them a cold smile before turning around and walkimg slowly to the door of the council room. Only a fool will do this. Turn their back on their enemies as they walk away. I could be dead by now if they wanted me to. But I was determined to not show even the slightest bit of weakness. I pressed my lips into a tight smile at the guards standing outside of the council room. And then I vamped off, getting mentally prepared to have this conversation with Ian. Because I knew he would bring it up.
But I had probably put him in danger. I had probably ridiculed him in front of the members. Or it was the other way around. I didnât exactly know which.
I walked into my own bedroom and locked the door behind me, running my hands through my hair and staring at the mirror with angry eyes. Now that this was settled, I still had the issue on my powers.
I could barely control it and now I was using it to fight my battles, to lash out on people. And I knew the council very well. Theyâd try to use that as an excuse to kill me.
