The One Night Stand Turns Out To Be My Professor
65
Ianâs POV
I paced around my room, wondering if I should just go to Sophia and apologize, or if I should go back to the realm instantly and then come back later and speak to her.
I ran my hands through my hair, feeling confused. Lyanna wanted me to apologize and talk to Sophia but my ego was too big to just give in to that just like that. But she was right. I should just speak to her. A part of me understood what Sophia was going through, struggling to adjust to a world thy she was not born into. It was hard, but she didnât have much of a choice but to do that.
I sighed, deciding that Iâd go over to her and talk to her. I missed her so much. I missed her too much to keep punishing myself by not taking to her, because truth be told, I was punishing myself and no one else.
âIan, you ready or not?â Jacob asked, poking his head into my room and I nodded.
âYeah I am. But, I want us to makes stop at Sophia and Jennyâs apartment first. I need to talk to Sophia,â I replied.
âYou sure about that?â He asked with a raised eyebrow. âI thought you both wereâ¦likeâ¦on a break or something.â
âWeâre not,â I replied curtly and picked up a my jacket. I stepped out of my room and shit the door and we began to walk out of the house.
We got into the car and drove straight to Jennyâs house. Lyanna was supposed to be here with us but she told us shed meet us at the realm instead. And I wouldnât be surprised if she would be there before us.
The car came to an halt in the front of Jennyâs house and something felt odd to me. And I was sure I wasnât the only one feeling that way. I turned my head to look at my brother and he was staring at their entrance, his jaw clenched like he could already sense what was wrong.
I opened the door and stepped out of the car. Jennyâs car was in the driveway. Everything seemed normal but I couldnât help the feeling that something was odd.
I walked up to the door and knocked once. There was no reply. I knocked again and I still didnât get a reply. A scowl appeared on my face and I looked at my brother. He got the hint instantly and he zoomed off into the woods. It didnât take long before he came back with one of the men who was supposed to be watching them.
âWhere are they?â I demanded.
âTheyâre in the house, your Grace. Theyâve been in the house since and they havenât stepped out,â he explained.
âThen care to explain why none of them have come to the door yet?â I demanded with narrowed eyes. His eyes furrowed a bit before he came closer and touched the door. It pushed open like it was never even locked in the first place. My scowl deepened.
I stormed into the house and looked around. Jenny and Sophia werenât anywhere here. I turned back to the guy but Jacob had beat me to it, grabbing him by the throat and slamming him on the wall. âWhere the fuck are they?!â He demanded.
âYour Graceâ¦â The guy sputtered, coughing out blood.
âHow did they manage to slip out under your watch?â I demanded.
âBoss, I promise I was watchingâ¦â He began but I walked up to him and punched him in the face.
âFind. Them!â I spat, turning around and storming off, leaving him alone as he coughed out blood.
Jacob was behind me and I got into the car, waiting for him to join me before I sped off.
It was almost time for thee council meeting and I still hadnât heard anything whether they have been found or not. There was a huge scowl on my face as I paced around my room and wondered how the hell Jenny and Sophia manged to slip out even when the men were watching them.
This was the same thing they did the last time that almost got them killed but now it seemed like they werenât even learning at all. I have had enough with them.
I gritted my teeth as I continued pacing up and down the room. âYou really should calm down, Ian,â Lyanna murmured, reminding me that she was still in my room.
She had been doing a locator spell on the both of them but I doubted it was working because we were in the realm not in the human world.
âYou canât tell me to calm down, Lyanna! These girls really want to have themselves killed!â I snapped. âThe least they could do it to obey and stay in the house when they donât have classes. Why the fuck canât they obey that simple order?â
âTheyâre still trying to adjust to this life,â she reminded me.
âThen they should be quick and get on with it!â I snapped, running my hands through my hair in frustration. âI swear to God, sheâs gonna be the death of me.â
There was a soft knock on the door and then it pushed open a bit. âYour Grace, the council members are waiting for you in the council room.â
âThanks,â I murmured to the servant and began to walk out of my room. âLyanna, I need you there.â
âMe?â She asked, her tone indicating how puzzled she was. âWhy?â
âI donât trust them enough,â I murmured flatly and she frowned.
âThey shouldnât be following you if you donât trust them,â she murmured back.
âWhat am I supposed to do? They hate me. Some of them hate me and thereâs nothing more that theyâd like than for me to be dead,â I reminded her. âI need you there to protect me.â
âIâm afraid Iâm no match for a bunch of old vampires,â she murmured.
âYou are. Thatâs why youâre with me,â I answered her and walked out of the room. It wasnât long before I heard her footsteps behind me..
As I walked to the council room, I wondered what each I was doing wrong regarding Sophia. Was I being too harsh on her? Too bossy? To hard?
Did I need to loosen up on her a bit? She was really driving me crazy with her crazy attitude and her stubbornness wasnât exactly helping manners. It was just complicating things even more.
When I get back to the human realm, she and I are going to have this discussion at length.
