Chapter 1010

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1010:

? ? ? ? ?

"No, Raegan, we're not done..." Mitchel clung to his hand, his eyes red as if he were on the verge of tears. "I don't accept it."

"Mr. Dixon," Raegan addressed him, tears in her eyes.

«Do you realize how much I suffered during that time? In their supposed plan to protect me, the pain I suffered was very real. Even if I recognize that your silent motives were for my own good, what does that change? I can't persuade myself to love you again. I wish for a life in peace, with a husband who does not inflict any pain on me. Can you understand it?

As Raegan articulated these words, her emotions were palpable, revealing her inner turmoil.

On the one hand, Raegan was grateful for everything Mitchel had done for her. But every time he remembered the pain his scheming had caused her, it was too much to bear and forgiveness was elusive.

Furthermore, their relationship had not stopped causing pain and damage to both of them. Wasn't that a clear sign that he wasn't okay?

Perhaps, then, taking this opportunity to completely sever their ties was best for both him and her.

Raegan couldn't afford to be reckless like Mitchel. About to be a mother of three children, she had to safeguard her own life and be responsible for her children. And Mitchel, with important responsibilities of his own, could no longer put himself in danger for her.

Raegan became convinced that being together was a mistake that had to end here. In this life, perhaps, they were destined to be apart...

Mitchel fell into profound silence, his face pale as paper. He felt as if a great void had opened in his heart.

Mitchel resonated deeply with the agony Raegan had once suffered.

It seemed that fate delighted in its capricious games. Acts of helplessness, words lacking in sincerity, Mitchel never anticipated that they would hurt Raegan so deeply.

“So whether you agree with me or not, it doesn't bother me and it doesn't hold me back,” Raegan declared, preparing to spill the bitterest truths as she looked away from him.

Determined, she opened the car door, lifted her dress and got out.

However, her wedding dress had a stain of Mitchel's blood on it, a premonitory sign. Even for a fake wedding, wearing it was out of place, not only would it embarrass Stefan, but it could also earn him a reprimand from his father.

Raegan quickened her pace, trying to put on a spare suit in time before making her appearance.

Behind her, Mitchel pursued her, oblivious to the pain in his wake as he exited the vehicle, his injured knee forgotten. With a loud crash, he collapsed to the ground.

The ground was strewn with disorderly cobblestones. Mitchel's knee, still in the process of healing, collided with the uneven surface, causing an audible crunch.

The torment of broken bones rivaled that inflicted by Lorenzo's crushing grip. His countenance, pale as parchment, sweat dripped from his forehead to the ground.

“Raegan…” His voice was hoarse, each word a painful exhale: “What can I do to earn your forgiveness?”

«Raegan, I don't know what's best for you anymore. I admit that I was wrong and that I have made mistakes in everything I have done. Please tell me what I can do. "I don't want you to leave me or marry someone else."

At his words, Raegan didn't dare look back. He bit his lip, eyes wide, refusing to blink. I feared that one blink would unleash a deluge of tears that would cascade like a torrent.

Turning now would reveal Mitchel's once handsome countenance, now twisted with anguish, barely recognizable.

Raegan had obtained information about Mitchel's condition only through Erick.

Erick refrained from talking about Mitchel. Since Raegan had declared cutting ties with Mitchel, it was best not to pass on any updates about him.
