Chapter 1041
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1041:
? ? ? ? ?
Just as Erick was about to put away his tablet, Raegan saw a four-leaf clover pendant around the woman's neck. It was a style that women used to wear.
Therefore, Raegan suspected that it was actually a woman disguised as a man.
It was a perspective that Erick had not considered. I knew the figure in the recording was shorter, but since many Aurora men weren't tall, I hadn't seen it that way. Now, with Raegan's insight, Erick agreed that the figure in the footage seemed out of place - maybe really a woman!
Erick remembered the corner where the figure had disappeared, a place he had checked countless times. Sure enough, a few minutes later a suspicious woman dressed in black was there. He leaned over and hugged Raegan, saying, "Raegan, you've been a tremendous help!"
Raegan felt a surge of hope, as this clue seemed to be an important lead in her mother's case.
Erick quickly transferred the images from his phone to review them again with Raegan.
This time, Raegan easily realized that the woman dressed in black was the same person as the "man" who had bought the medicine.
Now they were almost certain that this woman was related to their mother. There would be no other reason for her to dress up as a man just to buy Angelica Sinensis. This also served as indirect proof that Casey was still alive. What great news!
Without wasting a moment, Erick forwarded the video to a computer scientist to extract the woman's image and improve its quality for better identification.
They soon had a clear front view of the woman.
Erick then sent the photo to Stefan, asking him to use his contacts in Aurora to locate it quickly.
In the evening, they already had news. The woman turned out to be Jimena, the daughter of Dr. Hinks, from the northern district, and she was a medical student.
Erick advised against Raegan joining the search for Jimena, given the potential dangers involved.
Understanding her limitations, Raegan accepted that it was safer for her to stay behind. He urged Erick to be prudent and not make hasty decisions.
When Erick left, Raegan's heart skipped a beat as she waited at home.
Meanwhile, at Davey's farm.
It was the day Casey was due to attend her regular acupuncture session.
Jimena was at the entrance, waiting for the butler to let her in.
After verifying Jimena's identity, the butler revealed a secret door that led to the basement.
Inside, Casey was sitting next to her bed, concentrating on her embroidery. After much persuading, she had convinced Davey to give her some needles custom-made for her craft.
These needles were quite blunt, too dull to pierce even the tip of a finger, let alone create detailed embroidery.
Despite this, the quality of Casey's work was impressive, if a little rough, demonstrating his solid basic skills.
When Jimena saw the grass designs Casey had sewn, she commented, "Ma'am, you've done well with this piece, although it looks a little rougher than the one I saw last time."
Casey's eyes lit up. "Jimena, what did you see last time?"
