Chapter 1050

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1050:

? ? ? ? ?

In any case, one thing was clear. It was necessary to act.

Davey quickly dispatched a team to his overseas mansions to demolish the entire opulent underground complex beneath the estate. He ordered them to bury him under layers of earth, erasing any trace of his existence.

He had been supervising the dismantling of similar underground hideouts in various locations for days.

Davey was meticulous, methodical and cautious in his actions, guided by the ancient wisdom that "a ship that sails a thousand years is built with great care."

But now, Davey let out a small, sinister smile. A new challenge had presented itself.

Stepping out of the car, Davey planted one foot firmly on the ground, a portrait of confidence as he faced his mansion. Straightening his suit, at first glance he looked vibrant and energetic. However, a closer look revealed the icy glow burning in his eyes.

A sinister smile appeared on his lips as he observed his domain.

Anyone who dared to disrupt his plans would only meet destruction.

Instead of going to Casey's room as usual, Davey called the butler for information on the day's events.

The butler obediently recounted the mundane events he had observed, none of which seemed worth mentioning.

Davey swirled the crimson wine in his glass and raised an eyebrow.

“You say Casey ordered a cup of brown sugar water?”

Brown sugar water? A mysterious smile appeared on Davey's lips. Casey was very picky about the water he drank, insisting only on mineral water airlifted from high-altitude springs, a preference that Davey constantly indulged in, steadfastly maintaining this routine.

Even the most carefree glass of water that was served to Casey came from those springs. Even if he suffered from amnesia, he would undoubtedly distinguish the taste of water.

However, his sudden request for jaggery water did not seem to be related to a change in taste. Rather, he seemed to believe that ordering such a drink might make the butler slightly uncomfortable, perhaps a means of occupying his time.

Observing the disturbing smile that lingered on Davey's face, the butler felt a shiver of unease. He inquired cautiously, "Mr. Glyn, is there cause for concern?"

"No," Davey answered briefly, without changing his expression, while he drained a glass of red wine and placed it on the table with a loud "clink."

Getting up slowly, Davey ordered, "Please begin the search for a new family doctor."

The butler paused, gathering his thoughts before asking cautiously, "Mr. Glyn, has Dr. Hinks made a mistake...?"

Davey just raised his eyelids, fixing his gaze on the butler.

Suddenly, the butler found himself unable to continue, a cold sweat forming on his back. He had spoken too freely!

For the butler, Jimena had always behaved admirably, leaving a positive impression on him and often giving him homemade soaps and scented candles. They were not luxurious gifts, and he saw nothing wrong with accepting them.

Furthermore, they matched her preferences, especially the scented candles that Jimena claimed contained medicinal herbs. He relied on them every night, finding solace in their scent, a welcome respite from the insomnia caused by the specters of his past misdeeds haunting his dreams.

Over time, the butler had become dependent on the scented candles, deeply grateful to Jimena for their calming effects.
