Chapter 1081

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1081:

? ? ? ? ?

Raegan didn't hear any footsteps behind her, so she stopped.

He thought for a moment and turned around.

Mitchel kept a calm face and didn't stop Raegan from leaving.

Instead, he just stared at her.

“My… Mr. Dixon…” Raegan stammered. Thinking that Mitchel had come here to patch things up with her, she felt the need to set things straight. In any case, she must not get entangled with him any further.

Besides, if he hadn't fully recovered yet, he didn't want to bear the blame if something happened to him.

Pausing for a moment, Raegan said firmly, “I thought I made myself clear last time.”

Mitchel calmly replied, “I’m here because I have something to attend to.”

Raegan was not convinced. What could possibly cause a patient who had not yet fully recovered to travel to the frigid Aurora?

Already anxious and worried every day about her pregnancy and her mother's situation, Raegan didn't want to add to her worries. She felt as if everything had piled up, overwhelming and suffocating her.

Deep down, she was angry with Mitchel, thinking that he didn't know how to take care of himself. Before I could understand the cause of her fury, she said impatiently, "Mr. Dixon, don't you know that you're being annoying? Please stop doing things that only make you feel good about yourself."

Mitchel's face paled at this. After a long silence, he said in a self-deprecating tone: "It's not what you think it is."

Thinking it was an excuse she had fumbled through, Raegan raised her voice and asked, “What do you mean it isn't? If you think I'm going to be moved by your actions, think again. You annoy me greatly. Please stop devaluing yourself.”

Seeing her getting emotional, Mitchel pressed his lips together and refrained from saying anything else that might offend her further.

Raegan turned angrily and was about to leave when she heard an enthusiastic voice calling her.

“Raegan!” A young woman in a white fur coat ran towards Raegan, her face clear and full of vigor.

Raegan stood still, staring at the woman and trying to remember if she knew her.

The woman approached Raegan excitedly and said, “Raegan, don't you remember me? “I’m Eloise Benton.”

Eloise Benton… Raegan searched her memory, trying to recall the name. Finally, it clicked. Eloise had once been Mitchel's blind date.

It had been a while and Raegan found Eloise's enthusiasm strange. She couldn't help but ask, "Eloise, what are you doing here?"

Eloise seemed oblivious to the tense atmosphere and replied, “I’m here with Mitchel. The Dixon Group is overseeing a transportation project and they need to do some on-site inspections.”

Her voice broke and her face suddenly flushed. She added hesitantly, “I simply insisted on coming against her wishes.”

Raegan knew about the project Eloise mentioned.

Aurora's leaders prioritized infrastructure development, with the goal of shortening travel times to the outside world. The transportation project focused first on travel to Ambrosia.
