Chapter 1146:

Upon awakening, she noticed that the maid had changed, with a new one now on duty, indicating a systematic rotation to monitor her.
The new maid asked about her preference for food, keeping up the vigilant routine.
Raegan challenged the servant by ordering numerous complex dishes, hoping to provoke his irritation.
Hearing his requests, the servant frowned and left the room.
As Raegan climbed onto the edge of the bed, she was startled by a strange noise coming from outside, reminiscent of an ancient, wilting vine.
Raegan thought deeply about that sound, remembering hearing it the day Davey had compassionately rescued her from the freezing cold.
Compelled by the memory, Raegan ran to the door, hammering on it as she screamed, âMom! Mom!â
Her loud screams alarmed the maid, who rushed to restrain her.
"Miss, you can't! You can't."
The maid grabbed Raegan tightly and threw her onto the bed.
Unable to reach the door, Raegan kept screaming, âMommy! âMommy!â
Her insistence finally attracted a response from outside. Then a different sound was heard.
Repeated knocks quickly followed, as if a wheelchair had violently struck the door. The worried chatter of other servants filled the air.
"Ma'am! Ma'am, you can't do this! Please."
Unyielding, Raegan intensified her screams. âMommy! Mommy!â
The room's maid quickly covered Raegan's mouth, causing her to struggle and make muffled sounds.
Suddenly, the door slammed shut again. With a loud snap, the lock broke.
When the door opened, a shadowy figure stormed in.
It was Casey, who was wielding a large vase with which he hit the servant on the back of the head.
The servant, struck by the impact, released Raegan as he blessed profusely on the ground.
From her wheelchair, Casey managed to get up enough to grab Raegan and hold on to her.
Tears immediately sprang to Raegan's eyes. After years apart, she was finally reunited with her mother.
Clinging to each other, they ignored the surrounding chaos.
Other servants hesitated to intervene, seeing their injured colleague and considering Casey's frantic actions.
Furthermore, Davey had strictly ordered them not to harm Casey. Any harm they did to Casey would surely have serious repercussions for them.
