Chapter 1147

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1147:

? ? ? ? ?

Just then, Davey, alerted by the commotion, rushed to the scene. He stood at the door, witnessing the touching reunion of mother and daughter, whose tears flowed freely.

His commanding presence faltered momentarily and he stopped.

Casey's reactions were a mix of tears and laughter, her emotions more complex than before. It was possible that Raegan would heal her.

A nearby servant cautiously approached and explained, “Sir, the lady was aggressively banging on the door with a chair. “We were afraid that intervening might hurt her, so we held back.”

The explanation seemed justified.

Davey waved the servant away. “Go away.”

The servant left, relieved to have avoided a difficult situation.

Once the tears had subsided, Raegan turned to Davey. “Don't you want me to heal my mother? If so, I need some time alone with her.”

Davey watched Raegan, considering the feasibility of her suggestion.

Raegan pleaded, “I want my mother to recover as much as you do. Please let me try.”

Davey studied Raegan for a moment, gauging her sincerity. Finally, I have agreed. “Okay. You have half an hour.”

Despite his words, Davey remained where he was, showing no signs of leaving.

Raegan pondered how to persuade him to leave.

Taking advantage of a moment of distraction from Davey, Raegan subtly pinched Casey's back.

Casey hissed, which immediately caught Davey's attention.

“Casey, what's wrong?” Davey’s footsteps quickened as he approached, eager to discern Casey’s distress.

To his amazement, when Casey saw him, she shrieked in terror before seeking refuge in Raegan's embrace. It was a reversal of their roles, with Casey assuming the girl's fearful stance.

Frowning, Raegan suggested, “Mr. Glyn, perhaps it would be best if you left for now. Your presence seems to unsettle her.”

Although reluctant, Davey agreed upon seeing Casey's trembling.

“Raegan, cooperate and you won't suffer,” Davey urged, his tone a mix of persuasion and threat, a subtle warning of dire consequences if Raegan tried any tricks.

Raegan, keeping her composure, offered comfort to Casey, murmuring soothing words as she gently rubbed her back, “Mom, it's Raegan…”

Watching Casey's gradual calm, Davey chose to leave the room, leaving them with their reprieve.

Once the door closed, Raegan, who had assessed the room earlier in the morning, breathed a sigh of relief knowing there were no prying cameras. Perhaps Davey's moving plans and the urgency of getting Casey had prompted him to forgo surveillance in this particular space.

“Mom, I'm sorry I hurt you,” Raegan whispered, her voice heavy with regret as she gently examined Casey's back, relieved to find nothing more than a slight redness.
