Chapter 1180
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1180:
? ? ? ? ?
Roscoe, who was quite resourceful, had equipped the trike with winter tires and powerful LED headlights, perfect for mountain driving.
Although it looked simple, this tricycle was as expensive as a mid-range car and was fully equipped for safety.
Roscoe had chosen this modest tricycle for his mountain trips.
Today, however, luck was not on his side. Even the best vehicles can have problems, and his tricycle broke down halfway there.
Going outside to inspect it, Roscoe discovered that the battery had probably frozen due to the cold.
With no other choice, he helped Nicole out and they started walking home.
They were many miles from home, too far for Nicole to walk.
Although Roscoe had taken good care of her, her body was not prepared for such a long journey.
Roscoe bent down and said, "Nicole, get in. I'll carry you."
Realizing the distance ahead, Nicole refused: âIt's okay. I can walk a little. âIâll let you know when I canât continue.â
âNo, it's too slippery with the snow. Get on.â Roscoe remained crouched, waiting. Turning to Nicole, I challenged, âWhat, you don't think I can handle it? âAfter all, Iâm a man.â
He spoke in a playful tone, his eyes sparkling with youthful mischief.
Roscoe was polite and handsome, and sometimes let his youthful side show. Nicole assumed that if he had come from a simple family, he would have had a happy life with a wife and parents.
Unfortunately, she belonged to the Watts family and, unfortunately, she had crossed paths with herâ¦
Without warning, Roscoe stood up and scooped Nicole into his arms, causing her to instinctively cling to him, exclaiming, âHey! What are you doing? âPut me down.â
âSince you won't let me carry you on my back, I'll hold you in my arms all the way home, my princess,â Roscoe playfully teased with a smile, his handsome face shining in the snowy landscape.
Nicole's cheeks flushed. Even though she was younger, Roscoe's flirtations often caught her off guard. She didn't feel much like the older sister at the time. It seemed like she really had found the right personâ¦
Clinging to him, she whispered, "If you get tired, I'll get off."
âI won't get tired!â Roscoe spoke in a voice full of strength and clarity, showing no signs of fatigue. âNicky, I'm thrilled. You're here with me and soon we'll be living with Austin. Thank you for making my dreams come trueâ¦â
Nicole felt a warmth in her heart. Roscoe's actions and words had constantly assured her that she was not a burden to him. To him, she was his dream, his future, his everythingâ¦
For someone often overshadowed by pessimism, meeting someone as bright and hopeful as Roscoe was like finding a life raft in an icy abyss. One would be determined to hold on tight.
As Nicole rested her head on her shoulder, the tears falling from her eyes were still warm. Meeting Roscoe had been the luckiest event in his life.
âNicky, can you promise me something?â Roscoe asked suddenly.
"What is it about?"
