Chapter 1182:

He gave his driver a wink. The driver quickly picked up on the situation, shoved more money into the woman's hand and said, "Honey, buy yourself a little necklace and we've got a deal. You can't argue with that, can you?"
The driver, who was no stranger to such shady situations, was particularly persuasive. He leaned over to the woman and whispered: âLook, this gentleman has influential contacts in Ardlens. He's not someone to be messed with. I suggest you take the money and leave. Donât complicate things, okay?â
The driver's words were chosen, his sincerity questionable.
Far from being a decent soul, the waitress realized she couldn't gain much from Deniz and stopped arguing. Standing up and dusting off her pants, she sneered. âWho are you kidding? I know this car. It's a piece of junk. It's not worth much. âSomeone with influential connections wouldnât drive this piece of junk.â
Deniz's quick temper flared at the taunt, ready to strike.
The waitress, frightened, backed away, declaring: "Forget it. I'll treat this as a run-in with a pig."
Then she walked away confidently, her hips swaying.
âDamn it!â Deniz kicked the car door angrily. He cursed, âWhat a disgrace, to be humiliated by a nobody!â
The driver quickly lit a cigarette and handed it to Deniz. âSir, calm down. âWomen in these small places tend to be unruly and abrupt.â
Deniz put the cigarette between her lips, muttering angrily, âIf it wasn't for that damn Jarrod, would I be in this mess? Damn it.â
Deniz continued cursing.
Previously, over an issue involving Nicole, Jarrod disparaged the Hampton family's reputation and had Deniz imprisoned for a year.
The thing was, Deniz hadn't even laid a finger on Nicole. He just drugged her in a
attempted to rape her, however, he ended up imprisoned for a year, during which he felt he was treated unfairly.
Following Deniz's release, his previous cooperation with the Hampton family naturally fell apart.
Deniz's wife pleaded with her sister, who was married to a Hampton family official, but she was too afraid to plead for Deniz. Deniz was consequently banished to this abandoned place. They claimed that it was to help him reflect and mature before he could return to Ardlens.
Although her statement was quite accurate, Deniz thought that by the time she was allowed to return, everything would be gone.
Thinking back, Deniz wrongly blamed Nicole and Jarrod for her current suffering in this deserted place. If it weren't for Jarrod's recent connections with the Hampton family, she would be looking for an outlet for her rage.
âDamn it! That horrible woman, how disgusting!â Deniz couldn't stop cursing.
The driver understood that Deniz's bad mood could make the next few days difficult for him as Deniz vented his anger.
But there was not much the driver could do about it, as I needed this job to make a living.
Trying to change the subject, the driver said, âSir, you wouldn't believe it, but I met a stunning woman at the hot pot restaurant, really elegant, a real beauty even by Ardlens standards.â
Deniz scoffed. âWith your taste, how would you recognize true beauty?â
âSir, believe me, I'm not joking. I even secretly took a photo to show you. Itâs just that the commotion earlier made me almost forget about it.â
The host pulled out his phone, opened the gallery, and showed a photo of Nicole dining, her charm evident even as he stared at her meat.
