Chapter 1195

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1195:

? ? ? ? ?

The releases were all exclusive editions, requiring a certain status to acquire them.

Vicki's vanity tingled with satisfaction, but beneath the surface lay a flicker of irritation. She looked at Alec and asked, "Did you really ask for this?"

Alec kept his composure and replied, “Of course. “It was a special request from Mr. Schultz.”

In fact, Jarrod had not personally selected these pieces of jewelry.

It wasn't his style. Instead, he'd simply handed Alec a card and left the details in Alec's capable hands.

Whenever Vicki was unhappy, Alec's solution was to shower her with gifts. So, ever since their engagement, Vicki had received meticulously chosen gifts, which she assumed were prepared by Jarrod but were actually by Alec, for every occasion. To some extent, this had helped to alleviate her frustration.

Seeing Vicki's attitude softening, Alec continued to reason with her gently: "Miss Hampton, Mr. Schultz is deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused, but he was doing business, intending to ensure a better future for you. I hope you understand."

Vicki, the hopeless romantic, found herself completely infatuated at the moment, which made her remarkably easy to plate. Her anger quickly dissipated.

“Okay, I understand. Alec, do you know where Jarrod has gone? I left very quickly. I'm worried he might have forgotten something important. “I’m thinking of flying out to bring him some things.”

Hearing this, Alec waved his hands quickly. “Don't worry, Miss Hampton. Mr. Schultz has an assistant traveling with him. They'll take care of anything you need. Besides, who knows? He might be back in a day or two. Just wait at home.”

Alec finally managed to dismiss Vicki, heaving a long sigh of relief. He tried to call Jarrod again, but there was silence.

Alec was completely baffled, not knowing where Jarrod was. At least a heads up would have been nice, so Alec could prepare for whatever was coming.

As Vicki settled into the car, just as the driver was about to pull away, an unexpected interruption stopped them.

Vicki took one look and recognized the face, prompting her to order the driver to roll down the window.

Outside, Deniz wore a hypocritical smile. “Miss Hampton, how long. How are you holding up?”

Vicki did not have a favorable opinion of Deniz. Rumors were circulating that the old man had quite a reputation as a womaniser, and it was rumored that he had mistreated his wife upon his return.

Vicki's aunt, hurt by her sister's suffering in the midst of her marriage to Deniz, had assigned some Hampton Group projects to Deniz in an attempt to protect her sister from his abusive behavior.

However, Deniz seemed to have fallen out of favor with someone, as her presence at Ardlens became less frequent, preventing Vicki from witnessing her pleas for forgiveness.

Honestly, Vicki wasn't interested in Deniz's business, so she remained unaware of her conflict with Jarrod.

“Deniz, why did you stop my car?” Vicki's expression soured as she addressed him.

Deniz didn't seem bothered by his tone and continued to smile pleasantly.

"I just haven't seen you in a while and wanted to say hello. Vicki, you look even prettier."

Deniz's gaze lingered on Vicki in a way that made her uncomfortable, his eyes assessing her in a way that seemed invasive.

Vicki was instantly upset. She had heard that Deniz had shown an inappropriate interest in her aunt. Once, when her aunt and sister were out, he pretended to be drunk and sneaked under her aunt's duvet, trying to undress her. After her aunt hit him, he claimed his actions were due to alcohol, when the truth was otherwise.

"Deniz, if there's nothing else, I'm leaving now," Vicki said, feeling displeased. She moved the driver to roll up the window.
