Chapter 1249

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1249:

? ? ? ? ?

It was a cruel act on Jarrod's part against Nicole.

Jarrod hadn't seen it coming because he thought he had deleted that video from the Internet.

However, Nicole still owned the original.

A slight smile crossed Jarrod's face. It seemed that Nicole was really committed to this fight and had prepared a lot.

Roscoe, who was also there, looked over and found himself clenching his fist, feeling a sudden surge of anger he couldn't explain.

Even though the video was blurry, he felt the urge to jump into the scene and start hitting Jarrod. His own reaction surprised him. He was not usually impulsive or quick to anger.

After the video ended, Rhett stated, “Your Honor, as it appears on the video, it depicts my client and the defendant in an abusive incident in which the defendant forces my client to submit. Although my client initially consented for justified reasons, the recording clearly shows a one-sided harshness, suggesting that this individual is unfit to be a father. Furthermore, we have evidence that Mr. Schultz has been undergoing treatment for mental health issues.”

Rhett then submitted a pharmacological report detailing Jarrod's medication.

After reviewing the evidence, the judge scrutinized it and asked Jarrod if he agreed with the plaintiff's allegations.

“I don't agree,” Jarrod quickly countered.

Nicole flinched at his response, and even Rhett noticed.

Rhett quickly wrote “Relax” on a note and showed it to Nicole.

Nicole slowly regained her composure and agreed to Rhett.

Jarrod did not defend himself, but referred to his lawyer. His lawyer was also very competent. “As for the video, my client, Mr. Schultz, and the plaintiff, Ms. Lawrence, were both single at the time. People have their own tastes in relationships. Also, it is obvious from the video that Ms. Lawrence wanted the encounter with my client. They were just engaging in role-playing. There was no force.”

Nicole spoke at these bold statements, her fingers clenching into her palms. The shameless man claimed that they were just playing around.

Rhett quickly replied: “I do not agree with the defense lawyer’s interpretation. The video clearly implies a third party. “This is not just a consensual role-playing game between a couple, but rather obvious coercion.”

The defense attorney calmly asked, "Could the third party testify that this is a case of coercion or abuse?"

Rhett looked worried. He had asked Nicole earlier if the third party could testify. The person in the video could have been excellent evidence.

Unfortunately, Nicole had indicated that the third party would not testify.

The defense attorney continued: "It is clear that the plaintiff cannot prove this. Do we consider that the third party's participation was part of a consensual act?"

Nicole's face paled. This question had to be Jarrod's idea. He was sure Roscoe wouldn't testify because he didn't remember anything. How could he?

Nicole's face looked dejected. From Roscoe's perspective, she looked completely helpless and pitiful.

Nicole tried to look at the gallery several times, but she stopped herself. Roscoe was no help. He didn't remember anything.

The defense lawyer added: “Furthermore, the drugs mentioned in the plaintiff's report are not the ones my client is taking. “He is fit and well, as proven by his last medical check-up and the mental evaluation we received from the court.”
