Chapter 1322

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1322:

? ? ? ? ?

As expected, Roscoe tried to get away, but when he was unsuccessful, he gave up trying. He silently blew out the candles, deciding to act without Doreen.

"I've already seen that," Roscoe said dryly, ignoring Doreen's disgruntled expression.

Doreen's expression hardened. She forced a smile and murmured, "Thanks, Roscoe."

Instead of responding to her words, Roscoe withdrew his hand when Doreen briefly became distracted.

At that moment, Nicole raised her head and met Doreen's gaze. Doreen’s expression softened into a mocking smile as she gestured to Nicole and said, “Come cut the cake.”

Instead of calling Nicole Miss Lawrence, Doreen's tone implied disrespect, suggesting that Nicole was not worthy of her courtesy.

As Nicole reached forward with the plastic knife to cut the cake, Doreen abruptly intervened. “Oh! Stop!”

Nicole stopped, turning to Doreen.

“Did you wash your hands?” Doreen scoffed. “With all the people you know, who knows what you're carrying around? Now you want to cut the cake? Think of the germs you could spread.”

Nicole's hand shook and her face lost color.

Vicki enjoyed the scene and noticed Jarrod's inscrutable expression, who didn't know what to think.

Vicki feigned concern and stepped in. “Don't be upset, Miss Lawrence. Doreen likes things clean. It's a matter of you. With the amount of people she deals with on a daily basis, she's just being cautious. Please wash your hands and then come back to cut the cake.”

Although Vicki's words seemed diplomatic, they subtly underlined Nicole's occupation at the nightclub, casting her in a negative light.

His supposed mediation only served to embarrass Nicole further.

But the subtlety of Vicki's manipulation went unnoticed. All eyes were on Doreen's difficult behavior.

A waitress standing next to Nicole gently took the knife and said, “Go wash up. “I’ll take care of this.”

But before Nicole could respond, Doreen snapped at the waitress: “Who told you to get involved? You're just as dirty. Wait until she finishes washing up and let her do it.”

Nicole complied and continued washing her hands, not showing any emotion. She knew this show was exactly what Vicki liked. Vicki had orchestrated her hiring here to degrade her.

If humiliation served to keep Austin safe, Nicole was willing to toughen it. It was clear that Vicki enjoyed seeing her degraded and was resigned to fulfilling that role.

Vicki watched Doreen's overbearing behavior and shook her head. Although this was the drama she wanted, Doreen's antics were silly and laughable.

Wasn't it obvious that Roscoe had been uncomfortable since her arrival, his brow furrowed in disgust? Doreen's aggressive behavior would only further alienate the men. However, she seemed oblivious to it and continued to displease Roscoe.

If it weren't for Doreen's influential uncle Jarrod, the Watts family would have stopped tolerating her jealous rages.

But Doreen's madness was precisely what Vicki was counting on.

However, Vicki was full of praise for Doreen, praising her beauty today.
