Chapter 1510:

“Roger that,” Alec said, quickly directing the company’s IT department to locate Nicole’s car. He quickly relayed the last known location to Jarrod.

At the same time, Alec examined the surveillance footage from the villa. Confirming that Nicole had not headed to the sanatorium, he quickly informed Jarrod.

Arriving at the car's last known location, Jarrod discovered an abandoned factory. The place was eerily quiet, with no signs of life. The surrounding area was equally empty, with no vehicles.

Jarrod grabbed a flashlight from his car and entered the factory, lighting his way. The building was completely dark and Jarrod searched every corner thoroughly, but found no one.

Just as he was about to leave, something caught under his foot near the door. Looking down, he saw one of Nicole's earrings, a small golden flower, and recognized it instantly.

He picked it up, staring at it, sensing that it might be a clue left by Nicole.

Gripping the earring tightly, Jarrod headed back to his car and instructed Alec, “Launch a citywide search for Nicole. Don’t stop until you find her.”

Alec paused for a moment before asking, “What happened to him?”

“She’s been kidnapped,” Jarrod replied grimly.

The gravity of the situation weighed heavily on Jarrod. Who could have led Nicole into such a trap? Baffled by possible motives, he headed to the office to assist Alec and the team in following up on any leads.

Nicole had been unconscious for a considerable time. When she regained consciousness, she found herself enveloped in total darkness, unable to see.

He tried to free himself from his bonds, but they were too tight and he could not escape without help.

Then I heard the sound of footsteps approaching.

Nicole lay still, pretending to be unconscious. She felt someone shake her and the bag she was in opened, allowing her to breathe outside air.

A hoarse voice asked, “Is that her?”

“Yes, sir. Your blood is sweet. Perfect for our needs,” a younger woman replied.

“Okay, when do we start?” the boss asked.

The red-robed witch said, “Her condition is bad. I fear she will not survive the full ceremony. “I will need a few days to strengthen her with herbal remedies before we can begin.”

“Very well, make the preparations,” the boss agreed.

After a brief pause, the chief added, “Why have you brought a stranger here?” Have you forgotten our rule against leaking information about our valley?”
