Chapter 1513

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1513:

The red-robbed witch chuckled in amusement. “That, my dear, was an elixir fit for royalty. The rich would pay fortunes to try it. If you weren't so crucial to my plans, do you think I would have graced you with such a valuable gift?”

The elixir, the culmination of a decade of painstaking efforts, was a rare and coveted concoction. It contained the distilled essence of venom extracted from numerous snakes. With just three doses, it had endowed Nicole with remarkable vitality, cleansing her body of any ailments.

Even considering the major surgery Nicole had undergone in the past, her recovery had been extraordinarily quick after digesting the pills, far exceeding that of a normal person.

Nicole's face turned serious, not cheerful, at these revelations. "It seems I am of great value to you."

“Indeed,” replied the red-robed witch with an enigmatic smile. “Otherwise, why would you deserve such treatment?”

Nicole's mind raced, realizing that this witch must have a hidden plan, one that would justify such intricate measures. But what could it be?

His thoughts momentarily returned to the old woman, probably the boss this witch had spoken to when she pretended to be unconscious. Could there be a connection?

“You look too young to be involved in anything sinister,” Nicole ventured to suggest to the red-clad witch.

The witch laughed mockingly. “You are wrong there. “I am older than your grandmother.”

Nicole was speechless, doubting the veracity of her words. The witch had a youthful appearance and a radiant complexion. How could she be so old?

The red-robbed witch did not stop at this point. Instead, she raised a finger and asked provocatively, “I have committed many wicked acts. Which one, in particular, are you referring to?”

“Roscoe,” Nicole said bluntly. “What did you do to him?”

“Ah, Roscoe,” the red-robed witch replied with a flirtatious smile.

“I was merely a facilitator in that situation. It was Miguel who planned her downfall, in order to clear the way for his sons' return from abroad. Roscoe was merely a pawn in the game, a scapegoat. He had a defiant streak, and it is rumored that he refused to marry Miss Schultz. At Miguel’s request, I supplied him with a parasite to ensure his obedience.”

Nicole's expression hardened, struggling to understand how Miguel could treat Roscoe, his own blood, like this. And how could Miguel, at his advanced age, have fathered illegitimate children abroad? Still, Roscoe was still a descendant of the Watts family. Why would Miguel subject Roscoe to such cruelty?

Overwhelmed by questions, Nicole pressed further: “Did you bring him here?”
