Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1514:

The red-robed witch turned around, her expression grim. âYou ask too many questions. If you wish to live longer, I advise you to keep quiet.â
With those ominous words, the witch disappeared into the shadows, leaving Nicole alone as the door clicked shut behind her.
Frozen momentarily as she locked eyes with the small crimson snake, Nicole knew that stillness was her safest option against her piercing gaze.
From what she had observed the night before, the snake seemed to fall asleep when night fell. To test this, Nicole cautiously moved her limbs at intervals to gauge the snake's reaction. Only when the night deepened did the snake become still, revealing its vulnerability to sleep.
Determined to test her theory, Nicole decided to keep a close eye on her that night, waiting for the right moment.
As darkness enveloped the room, Nicole carefully rechecked her hypothesis. To her relief, the snake did not move at her gentle movements.
Recognizing her chance, Nicole prepared to make her move, taking advantage of the opportunity afforded by the stillness of the night.
Cautiously, Nicole ran her fingers along the sharp edge of the bamboo she had discovered the night before, methodically cutting the ropes that bound her wrists.
It took time and patience, but eventually his efforts paid off and he was freed from his captivity.
When she stood up, she was surprised at how light she felt. Despite not having eaten or drunk for two days, she did not feel as hungry or weak as she had expected.
Instead, her body seemed to hum with warmth, as if her stomach was continuously supplying energy to her vital organs, leaving her remarkably comfortable.
It seemed that the red-robed witch had gotten the pill right. It really was a miracle medicine, nourishing her body in ways she hadn't thought possible. Could it be that the pill was the key to revitalizing her failing health?
Nicole found it hard to understand. After all, the doctors had given her a grim prognosis, suggesting that she would only have fifteen to twenty years left after the operation, just enough time to see her son Austin grow up and perhaps even start a family of her own.
He thought that was enough to face his mortality without regrets.
But now, with the chance to prolong her life, she couldn't help but wonder. With so many ties tying her to this world, who wouldn't want more time to appreciate their loved ones?
Putting her thoughts aside, Nicole cautiously approached the door. She checked the lock and discovered that it was a simple latch and not a secure padlock. Although it was not difficult to open, she hesitated, afraid of the noise that might disturb the sleeping snake.
