Chapter 199

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

? ? ? ? ?

Howe's words echoed in the air. His desire to dominate Nicole and strip her of her clothes was evident.

Nicole felt his hot breath on her face, making her stomach churn violently. He fought the urge to vomit.

Her piercing scream finally attracted the attention of passersby, including Jamie and Jarrod.

Jarrod's expression instantly darkened as he realized Howe was about to attack Nicole.

Noticing Jarrod's worried look, Jamie quickly grabbed his arm and turned to Howe.

Howe, why here?

Without waiting for his response, Jamie looked at the security guard and ordered, "Help my brother up, will you?" Stay calm.

What kind of woman is she? “How dare you behave so brazenly here.”

Jamie's accusatory words quickly turned public opinion against Nicole.

Murmurs spread among the spectators. Despite Howe's notorious reputation, the crowd continued to condemn Nicole.

It wasn't until Howe was forcibly removed from the scene and saw the crowd around him that he sobered up.

At that point, he tightened his belt and echoed Jamie's sentiment.

"Sorry, I got a little carried away."

His words hinted at a mutual consent that didn't exist.

Meanwhile, Jarrod's dark eyes reddened at the sight of Nicole's disheveled clothes and the dollars near her chest.

“Clear the crowd first,” Jarrod ordered security in a low, firm voice.

The guards quickly redirected passersby to a nearby stage where a pair of A-list celebrities were performing. The crowd gathered there, attracted by the spectacle.

Once the area was emptied, Jarrod faced Nicole, who was half naked.

"Nicole, how could you fall so low?"

His words hurt Nicole more than a slap. His face burned with humiliation.

However, the absurdity of the situation soon seemed ironic.

There was the infamous Howe, but Jarrod seemed to think she was the culprit.

She thought about her loyalty to Jarrod and the fact that she had never been with another man.

Nicole felt unfairly accused. She was cleaner than anyone else there.

How could Jarrod say something like that?

Realizing that Jarrod knew Nicole, Howe approached with a fawning smile.

«Jarrod, do you know her? Great. "Then I'll take it."

Howe reached for Nicole's arm, but she shook him off.

"Do not touch me! I don't know you".

Angered by her rejection, Howe twisted the truth.

"You just agreed to sleep with me and now you back out? I never let go of what I want.

"You won't leave here without sleeping with me today."

Her face flushed with anger, Nicole retorted, "What nonsense you're talking!"

“Mind your manners, Howe,” Jamie interjected.

«Miss Lawrence belongs to the prestigious Lawrence family. "He's not someone you can touch whenever you want."

Jamie nonchalantly explained Nicole's background to Howe. I knew him too well. If Howe set his sights on a woman, he would do anything to have her.

The more challenging the chase was, the harder it would be once he achieved it.

The fate of the last woman was a grim reminder of that.

Realizing that Jamie's warning meant he couldn't succeed today, Howe masked his intentions with a sly smile.

«Ah, it seems that I have misunderstood. My apologies, Miss Lawrence.

Nicole looked at him suspiciously.

"I'll make it up to you next time," Howe added with a wicked smile.

His gaze was terrifying like a nest of poisonous snakes.

He swore to himself that he would do whatever it took to catch her.

With that, Harold stumbled toward the deck and sought another temporary conquest.

Jarrod gave Nicole a cold look and issued an order: Throw her out!

Two security guards moved to carry out the order without a second thought.

But Nicole, in a desperate attempt, clung to Jarrod's pants.

"Mr. Schultz, please. Just give me five minutes.

However, Jarrod was not convinced. He kicked her away and ordered, “Get her out of here right now!”

The security guards immediately grabbed Nicole's arms and prepared to escort her out.

“Miss Lawrence, perhaps it is time to show your sincerity.”

Jamie suggested in a charming tone.

Jamie's gaze drifted to the deck below Nicole, subtly hinting at something.

Nicole's eyelashes fluttered in distress and her mind raced for a solution.

Plop! In a moment of desperation, Nicole knelt.

Aside from her parents, Nicole had never knelt before anyone but Jarrod.

At that moment, tears ran down her face.

Nicole forced herself to calm down. After a long while, he looked at Jarrod and pleaded, "Mr. Schultz, please spare the lives of the Lawrence Group."

Jarrod turned to see Nicole, who was so proud and strong before, now kneeling before him. His eyebrows twitched.

He thought he would feel triumphant and vindicated.

After all, he believed that she had deceived him and hurt him. He should resent her.

But why did his heart ache as if wounded by a dull blade?

His eyes hurt when he saw his bent knees.

Because? Maybe because he wasn't ruthless enough. Perhaps that was the reason why he derived no pleasure from her miserable gaze.

After all, Nicole was good at playing the victim.

He shouldn't go soft on her. He had to put aside his strange feelings towards her.

Jarrod's eyes hardened and regained their usual coldness and relentlessness.

Kneeling before him, Nicole bowed her head and said, “Something is wrong with the contract with Saatchi and the Roissy Group.

The survival of the Lawrence group is at stake. Please have some mercy."

Of course, Jarrod was well aware of this.

It was his work, after all. He hoped Nicole would come and beg him. Therefore, he refused to see her.

«I heard that you got these agreements after a meeting full of wine. How come you run into these problems so soon? Jarrod asked, his eyes cold as a glacier.

Hearing this made Nicole feel more certain that the situation had something to do with him. After all, she had gotten those deals without him knowing.

«Mr. Schultz, you can do whatever you want to me. But please don't harm the Lawrence Group. Hundreds of employees depend on him. "I can't let them down."

With a grimace tugging at the corners of his mouth, Jarrod replied, "That's none of my business."

Nicole's fingertips trembled subtly.

That's when he realized he had done it on purpose.

But still, he had no choice.

The only one who could save the Lawrence family was the same man who brought them down.

With this thought in mind, he hit his head hard on the ground.

A dull noise. Again and again.

"Mr. Schultz, please… Please release the Lawrence Group…” Nicole said every time her head came into contact with the ground.

He didn't stop even until his forehead was stained with blood.
