Chapter 318
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

"Mr. Dixonâ¦â Matteo called Mitchel many times, but Mitchel did not answer.
Time seemed to freeze in that moment. The tension in the air was so thick that Matteo didn't dare to breathe.
And then, Mitchel collapsed right in front of Matteo.
"Mr. Dixon, are you okay?
Mitchell didn't speak. Before he knew it, everything went black.
Three days later, Mitchel finally regained consciousness.
«How do you feel now, Mitchel? Do you feel any discomfort?
Luciana asked him with concern.
Instead of answering her questions, Mitchel asked, "Where's Raegan?"
Luciana was surprised by the question and had a hard time finding the right words.
"Mom, have you seen Raegan?" Mitchell insisted.
«Mitchel... Matteo told me about Raegan's accident. It's unfortunate..."
"I'm asking you where he is right now," Mitchel insisted through clenched teeth.
Seeing Mitchel's distress, Luciana thought about how to comfort him.
In the end, he realized that it would be best for Mitchel to face the truth as soon as possible. «I understand that this is incredibly difficult for you... Three days have passed and they have not found her. I'm afraid we must accept the possibility that he is gone. Raegan was once my daughter-in-law. And with no family of her own, rest assured that I will organize a decent funeral for her.
Worried about Mitchel, Luciana had ordered bodyguards to monitor him at all times.
At that moment, Mitchel had an ashen complexion. He took off the covers and got out of bed.
Luciana intervened and asked worriedly, âMitchel, where are you going?â
"I'm going to look for her," Mitchel responded with a very serious expression.
Luciana was left speechless. When he regained his composure, he said firmly, âRaegan is dead. Where are you going to find it?
«No, that is not true. "They just haven't been able to find it." Mitchel looked straight into Luciana's eyes and stated, "She's not dead."
Luciana found herself powerless to stop him.
Mitchel then scoured the riverbanks tirelessly in search of Raegan for seven consecutive days and nights, barely allowing himself to rest. But a whole week later, Luciana and the bodyguards forced him to return home.
Mitchel had always been meticulous about his appearance. But now his eyes were sunken and his face was adorned with stubble.
Seeing her son's disheveled appearance, Luciana hugged him tightly and cried. «Mitchel, don't scare me. You are my life! "You are everything to me."
"I don't want to live anymore," Mitchel replied. Her pale lips trembled as she uttered these painful words: "Mom, can I trade my life for yours?"
Luciana grabbed his arm with an iron grip and implored him: âNo way! If you died, I wouldn't be able to continue living either.
Boom! Mitchel's body swayed briefly and then collapsed to the ground.
Luciana's eyes widened in panic and she screamed, âDoctor! Someone call a doctor!
The room fell into chaos.
Jamie had been confined in the basement for two weeks.
All the while, the villa staff would come down and throw food and water at him as if they were feeding a dog. Furthermore, no one had sought medical attention for her. It seemed that they had intentionally allowed his injuries to worsen.
The large scars itched and throbbed, so Jamie involuntarily scratched. As a result, his injuries widened. With the high humidity and without proper medical treatment, Jamie's wounds had rotted away. Due to the darkness of the basement, Jamie couldn't make out things very well.
One fateful day, the door opened again.
Jamie heard the heavy footsteps of leather shoes coming closer and closer. He saw a glimmer of hope and crawled towards the sound: âJarrod⦠Jarrod, is that you?â
Finally, the footsteps of leather shoes stopped right in front of her.
"You're right. It's me".
Jarrod's voice sounded unusually hoarse. It was as if it were the first time he spoke in many days.
Hearing Jarrod's voice, Jamie screamed loudly. «They have not given me anything to heal my wounds. I'm very uncomfortable. I feel like it's getting worse. It hurts me a lot. I know I've done something wrong. But please send a doctor to treat me. It hurts me a lot. I can't take it anymore. "I'd rather die than stay here."
If only Jamie knew that the wounds on his upper body had already rotted away. Even if a doctor came to cure her, nothing would change. Furthermore, he would only suffer because the procedure was so painful. It was now impossible to recover its original appearance. The worst part was that he would probably be horribly disfigured.
At this point, Jarrod didn't even want to look at Jamie.
"Is it more unbearable than death?" Jarrod asked indifferently.
Jamie nodded repeatedly. "Yeah! Yes, it is more painful than death!
The wounds made him feel as if thousands of ants were crawling all over his body. They stung and hurt at the same time. That feeling drove her crazy.
Sometimes he wanted to hit his head against the wall, wishing he would pass out.
But I didn't want to die. He had received a lot of money from Jarrod and had not yet experienced the luxury he could provide. How could she be willing to throw it all away?
Suddenly, something fell with a crash. It turned out that Jarrod had dropped a dagger on the ground. Then she said persuasively, "If you can't take the pain anymore, you can end it yourself."
Jamie was too stunned to react. He felt his heart sink to the bottom. It turned out that Jarrod wanted him to commit suicide. Did he hate her that much? She never thought he was so cruel and ruthless.
Jamie broke down and asked, âJarrod, have you forgotten that I once saved your life? Do you still have a conscience? Why are you doing this to me? Aren't you afraid of reprisals?
