Chapter 336

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

? ? ? ? ?

Everyone who loved Raegan hoped she would leave those disturbing memories behind and embark on a new beginning. In the end, he alone was trapped in the past and unable to move forward.

Determined, Mitchel decided to repair the damage done to Raegan. He didn't care how others perceived him, whether authoritarian or selfish. His only wish was to have Raegan near him, day and night.

Meanwhile, Raegan had quickly finished her seafood dish.

Mitchel offered him a tissue and his gaze softened. «If you liked it, I'll be sure to make more next time. But remember that too much seafood is not good for your health,” he gently warned.

Happy with the food, Raegan perked up. My husband also prepared crabs for me. His name was Kabir.

At the mention of Kabir, Mitchel's hand tensed and he couldn't help but roughly grab Raegan's slender wrist.

Raegan's words felt like a sharp, invisible blade piercing Mitchel's heart. Thinking about the time Raegan spent abroad, falling in love with another man, and even starting a family with that man filled Mitchel with pain.

Mitchel felt a twisted relief knowing that Kabir was no longer alive. He shuddered to think what he might have done if Kabir were still alive.

"Mr. Dixon, Mr. Dixon…” Raegan's voice, full of concern, broke into Mitchel's thoughts. Mitchel came back to reality and let go of her wrist. Despite this, a shadow of seriousness remained on his handsome face.

Raegan considered her reaction. Was Mitchel's anger because she had mentioned her late husband, Kabir? If so, it was exciting! He had been thinking about how to provoke Mitchel.

On her first day fulfilling her duties as agreed, Raegan had extravagantly spent nearly ten million dollars renovating Mitchel's office. Plus, he had taught Lauren a stern lesson. She had done her best to provoke Mitchel, but he didn't seem to show any anger. Wasn't Mitchel said to despise reckless spending and unkind behavior? Why, then, did he not show his displeasure after all her efforts to annoy him?

Instead, Mitchel seemed almost amused by her mischief. He was smiling in a way that suggested he enjoyed her attempts to piss him off.

This made Raegan question the information Erick had given her about Mitchel. It seemed like he had taken the wrong approach.

However, Raegan remembered another detail about Mitchel. He was rumored to be extremely possessive and disliked anyone interfering in his personal or professional life, whether it be his career or relationships. That explained Mitchel's near loss of composure at the mention of Kabir.

With this new strategy in mind, Raegan spent the trip back sharing her memories of Kabir with Mitchel. She recounted her memories with Kabir, describing how he used to send her sunflowers, take her to the beach, and often take her back home.

Every time he told it, he insisted on Kabir's name.

As he persisted, he noticed that Mitchel's expression became increasingly grim. This reaction filled Raegan with a triumphant feeling. He reveled in the thought that her words were finally stirring him up. She hoped that her provocations would lead him to ask for a divorce immediately.

Caught up in her efforts to annoy Mitchel, Raegan was surprised when he suddenly stopped the car.

Raegan looked out the window and realized she had no idea where they were. With a perplexed look, he asked, “Why are we stopping?”

Mitchel reached out and took a cigarette from the cigarette case. He was about to turn it on, but decided against it. He put the cigarette between his lips, squinting slightly. «I have stopped because I want to pay all my attention to your story. Please continue."

Mitchel felt a wave of frustration as Raegan continued rambling about her late husband, whom she missed dearly. This made it difficult for him to concentrate on driving.

Raegan was surprised by his reaction. She hadn't imagined that Mitchel would be interested in learning about her past with another man.

Feigning shyness, she said quietly, "But what I have left to tell is quite personal, and I'm not sure it's appropriate to share it with you..."

Suddenly, the air around them became tense and uncomfortable.

Mitchel struggled to contain his anger. Thinking about something personal… Huh! He bit back the harshest words. Then, he raised his eyebrows and looked coldly at Raegan. "What do you mean 'something personal'?"

Unaware of the danger in her words, Raegan responded, "You know, the kind of intimate moments shared between a husband and wife."

Despite his claim, he couldn't actually remember any concrete details.

The only thing she remembered was Kabir's kindness towards her. His memories were weak and it was difficult for him to imagine his face without a reference photograph.

Left with no other option, Raegan made up, "Anyway, Kabir was amazing!"

Hearing his words, Mitchel couldn't help but laugh. He casually tossed his cigarette out the window and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. Then he stretched his arms over the back of the seat and leaned toward her.

In an instant, Raegan found herself enveloped in his arms. He looked up and met Mitchel's intense gaze.

Surprised, Raegan didn't know how to react.

Mitchel looked deeply into her eyes for a moment and then said huskily, “You mentioned your husband was impressive, right?”

Mitchel leaned over and fixed Raegan with a fierce look. "How good was he?"

«Uh... Well...». Raegan stuttered for a couple of seconds, struggling to find words. It was nothing more than a lie. How could you describe how good your late husband was?

Mitchel's captivatingly handsome face approached. When she spoke, her voice was husky and seductive. "Do you need a ruler to measure it and see who is better?"

Raegan remained completely speechless. His expression was frozen like a deer caught in the headlights. She blinked twice and asked confusedly, "Measure what?"

Mitchel, his voice hoarser than ever, responded, "What do you think?"

Raegan's eyes widened in realization. What the devil?

«You remember Kabir's very well. Can't you remember mine? Mitchel took her hand and began to take her hand to his private part. “Let me help you recall some memories.”

Raegan sensed that he was up to something and instinctively tried to remove her hand. However, his grip was firm and unyielding. She felt uncomfortable. What an idiot!

"Pervert!" Raegan screamed at the top of her lungs, her voice shaking with fear.
