Chapter 421

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

? ? ? ? ?

Katie was taken aback. He even forgot his tears. I had always seen Mitchel as distant. But only when she observed his tenderness towards another woman did she understand that she had never been the recipient of his gentle side.

Raegan shook her head. He hadn't burned his fingers. The pot was heavy and he had held it too long. However, he did not ignore the need for an apology. He stated firmly: “You won't leave until you apologize!”

Raegan had prepared a nutritious soup for Mitchel. And now, it had been ruined because of Katie, who dared to point accusing fingers at her and even wanted to slap her.

By this time, Katie had stood up. Around others, he refused to show his vulnerability. He had to maintain his air of superiority.

Katie looked at Raegan, who was wearing black-framed glasses and medical attire, and sensed something was wrong.

“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to,” Katie quickly regained her composure and offered an apology.

Then, turning to Mitchel with a smile, Katie said, "Mitchel, it's a good thing you held me back a moment ago, or I might have accidentally hurt this woman."

Raegan was amazed by Katie's ability to spin a story. Mitchel had done more than just hold Katie back. Given the loud crash that came when Katie stumbled, Raegan doubted it was merely an attempt to restrain her.

Watching the situation unfold and Mitchel's distant behavior, Raegan began to believe that Katie was not Mitchel's fiancée. It seemed like the whole story was Katie's invention.

Since Katie had apologized and made her claim, Mitchel didn't press the issue. He turned to Raegan and simply said, "Let's go in."

They headed to the living room.

Katie watched them enter and finally knew what was wrong. The shoes of the woman dressed as a doctor caught his attention. They seemed custom-made, too expensive for a nurse's salary.

Remembering Mitchel's tenderness and concern from earlier, a name came to Katie's mind. That supposed nurse had to be Raegan. Suddenly he felt a wave of calm. After years of pure affection for Mitchel, she now felt compelled to employ tactics against him.

As we turned the corner, Katie's phone started ringing. She answered.

“Miss, we have located Lauren.”

"Where is?" Katie asked flatly.

The other end of the line was silent for a moment before answering: "Velvet Alley."

Katie's expression turned cold upon hearing this. I had already heard about that place. It was like hell. The lives there were nothing short of torture.

Katie didn't expect Mitchel to be so ruthless. After all, Lauren was said to be his first love.

The other end of the line spoke again. “Miss, Lauren is not in good condition. Shall we save her?

Katie smiled and said, “Yes, save her. Then leave her alone.

"Okay, miss."

Katie hung up the phone. His hands unconsciously clenched into fists. They were so tight that her nails dug into her palms. The cruelty in his eyes could make people shudder involuntarily.

People like Lauren, who had lived in that kind of place, undoubtedly harbored strong hatred in their hearts. There was no need for her to instruct anything. Lauren would be crazier than she imagined.

Velvet Alley was a dark place beyond the law.

At that moment, a black object curled up next to the trash can. If it weren't for a pair of bare feet, no one would recognize him as a person.

Except for his feet, the other parts of his body were covered in all kinds of mud. He didn't even have the most basic clothing to cover himself.

Lauren had had a high fever for a long time. Now he was so delirious that he didn't know what was happening.

The last two days were the darkest and longest of his life.

They were the scariest two days. Even more horrible than his days in the psychiatric hospital. There were no decent people there. All he saw were beasts wanting to let off steam.

Mitchel was too cruel. What he did to her was beyond his imagination.

Apparently, he did nothing. He just left her in Velvet Alley. It seemed like she could go alone.

However, after being drugged, her body desperately needed relief. He couldn't find the strength to resist the effects of the drug and leave.

The man Lauren started with was of her own free will. At that moment, her heart was restless and she felt empty inside. He didn't care about anything else anymore. As soon as he got out of the car, he dragged a man who was passing through the alley.

But one was not enough. She still wasn't satisfied, so she found two.

Then, three…

Later, she became even crazier. More men sought her out for pleasure, and she couldn't stop them.

They treated her like a rag. They didn't even give him clothes to wear.

Lauren only felt endless madness and restlessness. Even though they were exploiting her, she couldn't stop them anymore. She felt like she was being destroyed.

Later, he got a little drunk. Maybe the drug was starting to wear off. He hid behind the trash can he found, perfectly hiding his mud-covered body. He used the trash to cover himself and slept all day. But she still felt discouraged and dizzy.

Lauren thought she couldn't take it anymore.

Even if she could get out of here, the irreparable wound and trauma made her feel like she was dead. I could never live like before.

At this moment, a stream of water suddenly fell on his face.

Lauren was so thirsty that she thought she saw a sweet spring. He opened his mouth wide and drank greedily.

He realized that it was hot and smelled bad. But he ignored it.

Lauren felt like something was wrong, but her body desperately needed water. For her, it was the spring that she had worked so hard to earn, so she was not willing to give it up.

Suddenly, someone kicked him hard. He rolled from the dark corner into the dim light of the street.

A filthy man was laughing out loud. He turned to his companion and said, “Damn it! I thought it was a dog drinking my urine here. "I didn't expect it to be a human."

The expression on Lauren's face immediately changed. It turned out that he had drunk this creep's pee.
