Chapter 613
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Mitchel listened in silence, without interrupting. Despite Raegan's measured tone, he could sense how heartbroken and hopeless she felt then. His heart ached, overcome with compassion.
Raegan's eyes reddened as she continued, "Shortly afterward, the practice books shattered under the weight of the water. I was there, crouching by the road trying to pick up the pieces, when a car suddenly stopped nearby. The driver got out and started yelling at me. I don't blame him. It was my mistake. "I was afraid I had been run over."
âStop itâ¦â Mitchel felt his heart shatter. Hearing his words, some fragments of his memories came back to him.
That day, darkness consumed Mitchel's life.
Alexis and Luciana got into their worst fight. Insults were thrown around like "mistress," "old beast," and "nagging wife," words that young Mitchel would not expect from such a refined couple.
Later, when Alexis hit Luciana in a fit, Mitchel lunged, receiving the blow intended for her.
Fed up with the tense atmosphere at home, Mitchel got into the car and told the driver to head south, aimlessly.
They wandered aimlessly until they almost collided with Raegan, who was picking up her practice books from the floor.
The driver barely managed to stop in time and didn't see Raegan until the last second. Upon getting out, the driver severely scolded Raegan.
With tears in her eyes, Raegan apologized and stood on the shoulder, her practice books torn and her cotton jacket soaked.
It was then that Mitchel realized that Raegan was without shoes, in freezing weather, and her pants were soaked.
The driver, feeling guilty for scolding Raegan, thought it was too pitiful. His concern was that if he didn't scare her a little, she might end up in danger from other drivers.
Feeling Mitchel's gaze on the car, Raegan quickly put on her shoes, gave a small bow to the driver, and prepared to leave.
Mitchel offered to give Raegan a ride, but she refused: âNo, I'm soaked. "It would ruin your car."
Mitchel chuckled, looking at her mud-spattered kitty face, and replied, "You look pretty clean to me."
Raegan looked down once more.
Mitchel asked, "Do you think I'm no good?"
Raegan shook her head. It was her first encounter with such a handsome and neat young man, which awakened a strangely familiar feeling in her. His instinct assured him that he was trustworthy.
Just then, Raegan's grandmother's neighbor came over and offered to take her home.
Raegan quickly expressed her gratitude to Mitchel and hopped on the neighbor's tricycle.
Mitchel looked at the tattered practice books and remembered Raegan's tears. For the first time, he felt the sudden urge to follow Raegan, a girl he had just met.
After seeing Raegan enter a house, Mitchel sent his driver to the local bookstore.
He called the bookstore, described the practice books, and went to pick them up, realizing that their price was $72.80.
Mitchel found it ironic. Some shed tears over $72.80, while others argue over petty issues despite being rich.
