"Mr. Dixon, your mother has suffered a fall," the servant reported.

Mitchel's breath caught. "What was the cause of his fall?"

The maid explained: “This morning he woke up feeling tightness in his chest and decided to get some rest. But somehow it ended up falling. You should come quickly to see her.

After hanging up, Mitchel's face was marked with concern.

Raegan, slipping her arm through his, asked, "Is it because of your mother?"

Raegan recalled her previous conversation with Mitchel on the subject of medication, suspecting that Luciana might have been secretly drugged by Katie. This thought was chilling. It explained the drastic change in Luciana's behavior.
