Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 881:

? ? ? ? ?

Late in the night, his sore throat worsened. He reached out and found a glass of ice water neatly placed on the table.

Without looking, he took it and drank, feeling the coolness spread down his throat, but there was something about the taste that he didn't like.

It was then that he realized that he only had a glass of ice water in his hand.

Erick stood up and, just at that moment, a servant passed by. He asked, "Where is Elin?"

The servant seemed surprised by the question, thought for a moment and replied: "Mr. Foster, Elin left to study quite a long time ago."

Erick, still confused by the alcohol, did not understand it immediately.

Then he realized he had gone to college. He asked, "Don't you come back on weekends?"

The servant looked at Erick in disbelief and replied, “Mr. Foster, are you serious? Elin studies in Uchaesau. "A connecting flight to Swynborough takes a day and a half, so two days would not be enough for a return trip."

Erick was stunned. A few seconds later, there was a "thud" as the glass slipped from his hand on the carpet. Luckily, it didn't break.

He repeated incredulously: "Are you studying in Uchaesau?"

"Correct!" The servant nodded. "You didn't know?"

Confusion clouded the servant's face. After all, Erick and Elin seemed to get along well, but Erick seemed to be unaware that Elin was studying at Uchaesau.

Noticing Erick's bewildered expression, the servant added: “Elin has been abroad for a month. Annis mentioned that Elin wouldn't be back for the holidays. “Annis planned to fly to Uchaesau instead.”

At the servant's words, Erick suddenly stood up and ran away.

The servant, witnessing an unprecedented disturbance in Erick, stopped.

After a moment of astonishment, the servant retrieved the glass that lay forgotten on the floor.

Erick ran to where Elin resided and threw open the door without knocking.

Annis often left the front door unlocked at night, in case of emergency. Located near the main house, the housekeeper's quarters were considered safe within the estate.

Erick entered the small room that once vibrated with Elin's presence, now austere and empty. The desk where Elin used to study was gone.

Without anything, the room was empty. There wasn't even a bed left.

At that moment, Erick's gaze became icy, his behavior chilling. Elin was truly gone, and he was completely unaware of it.

"Mr. Foster?" Annis's voice, tinged with amazement, floated from behind Erick.

When Erick turned around, Annis searched his face. In a tone tinged with perplexity, he asked: "Mr. Foster, to what do I owe this visit?"

Erick, rigid in the doorway, demanded, "Annis, where is Elin?"
