Chapter 1162
Mistaking a Magnate for a Male Escort
Gamma reached out to grab the eagleâs wings before dragging it into the car. She rudely tossed it onto the sofa.
After that, all three kids inched over and discussed the eagle endlessly.
âIt looks just like our pet, Leslie, but itâs bigger.â
âLeslie is just a baby, so of course itâs tiny.â
âCould this be Leslieâs daddy? Or its mommy?â
âNo way, Leslie is so much cuter, and it didnât have as much feather around its neckâ¦â
âWhat an ugly eagle.â
âYeah, our Leslie is so much prettier.â
Screech!
The eagle pouted and screeched. It pretended to be untamed when it heard how the girls were calling it ugly.
âWhat was that? No grouchy face allowed!â instructed Alpha as she knocked on Fifiâs head.
âBe good and smile for us. Smile now,â instructed Beta as she used her finger to lift Fifiâs chin up.
âItâs probably retarded,â complained Gamma as she stared in distaste.
Ellie was watching everything from the side, and she couldnât help dropping her jaw in astonishment. She blinked like she couldnât believe what her eyes were seeing.
She still remembered how she and her brothers were scared mindless when they first met the eagle.
Why arenât these kids afraid at all? And why isnât the eagle aggressive toward them? Hell, itâs silently crying and didnât dare to act up even after they insulted itâ¦
âThatâs no fun,â complained the three toddlers, who had lost all interest in the eagle. They tugged at Ellie and requested, âEllie, letâs continue with our game.â
âUh, okay then.â
Ellie, who was usually immature and naughty, instantly became a good example as she played with the kids. She even taught them right from wrong.
âAlpha, be careful not to let your chips fall onto the rug, okay? We must be hygienic.â
âBeta, donât drink too much juice. Your tummy will ache if you do so.â
âGamma, no plucking Fifiâs feather!â
âWhoâs Fifi?â asked Gamma curiously.
âThatâs the poor eagle over there.â
That was the first time Ellie used the word poor to describe the eagle that was aggressive, feral, and merciless.
Why is it so fearful around these three little demons?
âHehe, its name is so dumb,â commented Gamma as she shoved the feathers back onto the eagle. She added, âOkay, I wonât mess with you anymore. Go away.â
Fifi flapped its wing and flew to Robbie right away. It used its beak to readjust its feather. It even screeched softly and pitifully.
âWhy are you so afraid of them?â asked Robbie curiously.
âBecause it recognized them as Mr. Lindbergâs kids,â replied Sean with a grin.
âAh, that makes sense,â muttered Robbie as realization hit him. He later asked, âBut theyâre still so young. I canât believe they arenât afraid of it at allâ¦â
âThatâs because their mother isâ¦â blurted Sean. He swallowed the rest of his words before he finished his sentence. He simply shared, âIn short, these three are not afraid of anything and were born with a mysterious gift.
That is why even Mr. Lindberg canât do anything about them.â
âWhat gift?â asked Charlotte curiously.
âYouâll learn soon,â replied Sean as he grinned mysteriously and added, âItâs too bad theyâre girls. If they are boys, theyâd be able to inherit and continue Mr. Lindbergâs business and legacy.â
âWhy is he playing favorites? Regardless of whether theyâre boys or girls, theyâre still children,â commented Robbie while frowning.
âHeâs not really playing favorites,â explained Sean. He sighed and informed, âMr. Lindberg is just a little old-
fashioned. He believes that girls should be protected and spoiled. Inheriting a business would mean bearing a tremendous responsibility and handling enormous stress. They would have to train hard and be practically invincibleâ¦â
âI see,â murmured Robbie while nodding.
âThat makes senseâ¦â
Charlotte finally understood why Danrique was looking for an heir to his empire, even though there were rumors about how he had illegitimate children. Heâs even considering letting Robbie be his heirâ¦
