Chapter 330
Mistaking a Magnate for a Male Escort
âRight on!â Jamie said with his mouth still stuffed with dumplings. âIt must be the psychotic boss whoâs keeping Mommy in the office and not allowing her to go home.â
âYeah.â Ellieâs plump cheeks were covered with tears as she pouted. âIâve seen him before. Heâs so fierce, and he almost killed Fifi. I hate him.â
âHe is so arrogant that he would only talk through his men when he came to the kindergarten.â Robbie frowned in contempt. âI hate him too.â
âWhat a detestable guy,â Jamie seethed as his fingers tightened around themselves. âNext time I see him, Iâll make him pay for bullying Mommy, Robbie, and Ellie!â
âWho is this man who bullies women and children?â The elderly gentleman too got riled up just hearing their exchange. âTell me so I could teach him a lesson!ââYouâre too old to fight him, Grandpa Nacht,â
Jamie said solemnly as he regarded the old man. âThe manâs got many bodyguards. Heâs big and tall and looks like a meanie!â
âYeah, his eyes are scaryâ¦â Ellie added as she recalled with fear her encounter with that bad guy at the mall. âHe has the look of a lion who wants to eat me!â
With that, the little girl pursed her lips and started to bawl pitifully again.
âHey there, donât be afraid.â Mr. Nacht almost melted when he pulled her into his arms to comfort her.
âEven if heâs a lion or a tiger, I can tame him!â
âYup, your Grandpaâs the best,â Spencer said in amusement. âThereâs no one in the world that he cannot subdue!â
âReally?â Jamie became excited as he came close and tugged at the elderly manâs sleeve. âDo you know martial arts, Grandpa Nacht?â
The old man laughed. âI donât, but I have this!â
He then pointed to his temple. âA person who has wisdom and talent has nothing to fear!â
âGrandpa Nachtâs right! Thatâs what Mommy says too,â Robbie said staidly. âThatâs why we need to study hard and become someone useful so no one could trifle with us!â
âGood lad,â Mr. Nachtâs heart ached for the boy as he tenderly patted his little head. âYouâre still so young. Just enjoy your childhood days in the meantime.â
These were the words that he had always wanted to say to Zachary, but never got the chance to.
Now he was saying them to Robbie with the same sentiment.
He silently made a decision and thereupon, decided to announce it.
âFate must have brought us all together. I wasnât around before, but now that I am, Iâm going to be your guardian angel. Iâd never let anyone pick on any single one of you, ever again!â
âGrandpa Nachtâ¦â Tears flowed ceaselessly from Ellieâs eyes as she wrapped her stubby hands around the old manâs neck.
âOh, sweetie. There, there.â Mr. Nacht was charmed off his socks as he hurriedly wiped way above her cheeks. âIt hurts me to see you cry like this.â
âThank you, Grandpa Nacht!â Jamie felt a stinging in his nostrils as his eyes reddened, but he fought very hard to contain himself. âYouâre so nice to us. When I grow up, Iâll protect you too!â
âAs will I!â Robbie added as he thumped upon his own little chest. âWhen we grow up, we shall all protect Grandpa together!â
âGood children. Excellent!â The elderly gentleman was reduced to an emotional wreck as he huddled with the children. He then turned towards the people behind him. âAll of you are to bear this in mind.
These children are closer to me than my own grandchildren. No one is to bully them!â
