Chapter 364
Mistaking a Magnate for a Male Escort
Charlotte wanted to escape when she noticed the manager waving at her, but since he called her by the janitorâs name, and everyone was looking at her, leaving the room would be suspicious. It would be difficult to clean up if she was exposed, so Charlotte went up to them.
âThe wineâs spilled, Felicity. Clean it up fast,â the manager ordered.
âOkay.â Charlotte cleared the glass shards away, but she hung her head low in case someone could recognize her. Meanwhile, Zachary had moved away from the spot, wiping the stain on his hand with a piece of wet tissue.
âWill you be changing clothes, Mr. Nacht? I can go with you,â Ben proposed carefully.
âNo. Itâs just the coat.â Zachary took it off and tossed it to Ben before going back to his wine.
âWhoa, muscles!â Jamie was excited to see Zacharyâs muscular body. âWhatâs your routine, Boss?â
Charlotte stopped cleaning for a moment and looked up at Zachary. He calls Zachary âBoss?â Whatâs going on?
âBoxing,â Zachary answered curtly.
âYou box? What do you specialize in?â Jamieâs interest was piqued. Instantly, he put his cutlery down and waited for Zacharyâs answer with anticipation.
âI know everything,â Zachary answered calmly.
âReally? Then spar with me when we have the chance.â Jamie loved martial arts.
âYou? Spar with me?â Zachary thought it was laughable. âI can beat you down with one finger.â
âAs if.â Jamie puckered his lips, swinging his fists. âMy legâs injured, but once I heal up, youâre getting it.â
âWeâll see.â Zachary sipped his wine without looking at the boy.
Ellie gave Henry a piece of candy. âWeâre going to kindergarten tomorrow, Mr. Henry,â she said pleasantly. âWe canât wear smartwatches when weâre in school, but you can call us once schoolâs out.
That is if you miss us anyway.â
âWhy canât you wear smartwatches? What if you go missing again like last time?â Henry frowned.
âI donât know. The teacher said smartwatches arenât allowed in the kindergarten.â Ellie fiddled with her cherry ice cream.
âWhatâs your kindergartenâs name?â Henry asked.
âApple Kindergarten!â Ellie held up a little apple and grinned. âThatâs its name.â
âI see.â Henry gave Spencer a look. Spencer understood what must be done, and he went to do it.
âYou shouldnât spoil the kids,â Zachary commented, knowing what his grandfather had done.
âBite me then,â Henry snapped back.
Zachary didnât answer. Instead, he looked at the janitor and sneered. âWhy donât you take the kids with you if you love them so much?â he told Henry. âTheir homeâs tiny. Makes it hard for them to move around.â
Charlotte trembled, and she started to panic. No, no, no. Donât say yes, kids.
âSure.â Henry had the same idea. âWhy donât you stay over at my place, kids?â he asked lovingly. âI can give you a ride to the kindergarten every day, and I can take you guys back too.â
âSure,â Ellie answered without even a moment of hesitation. She was even rubbing her pudgy hands happily. âCan we come here when schoolâs out then?â
âOf course, you can.â Henry nodded. âAnd I can hire a boxing coach for you,â he told Jamie. âYou can learn whatever you want to.â
âReally? Cool.â Jamie punched the air with excitement. âCan I learn taekwondo then?â
âNo problem. Iâll get the best coach to teach you.â Henry was about to tell Spencer to get to it.
