Chapter 613
Mistaking a Magnate for a Male Escort
Henry wavered as it was hard for him to resist the temptation of spending more time with the kids. Just then, Fifi flew toward him and squawked, âStay! Stay!â
âSee, now even Fifi wants you to stay!â Ellie beckoned to Fifi. âFifi, come here. Call Great-grandpa!â
Fifi repeated after Ellie, âGreat-grandpa! Great-grandpa!â
âHaha!â Henry gave a hearty laugh. âFine, Iâll stay for dinner.â
Having forgotten that she was holding Fifi in her arms, Ellie raised her hands in the air and cheered, âHooray!â
As a result, Fifi fell into Henryâs arms. Its head was spinning as it rolled its eyes, squawking, âIâm drunk!
Iâm drunk!â
âHahahaâ¦â
All of them burst into gales of laughter, amused by Fifiâs cute reaction.
As for Zachary, the man was smiling like a Cheshire cat. He knew his grandpa couldnât say no to the kids.
Soon after, Ben hurried to the kitchen to have Mrs. Rawlston prepare some of Henryâs favorite dishes.
Mrs. Rawlston whispered at him, âIâve already had them on the menu. Mr. Zachary told me Mr. Nacht would stay for dinner.â
Ben gave his forehead a slap. âAh, I should be more mindful next time.â
In the meantime, Zachary was talking to the kids, âYou guys can play with great-grandpa first. Dinner will be ready in half an hour.â
The kids answered, âOkay, daddy!â
Robbie was thoughtful enough to say, âDaddy, you and mommy can get changed and get some rest before we have dinner.â
âThatâs right! Mommy looks tired.â Ellie blew her mother a kiss. âMommy, go get some rest.â
Jamie tilted his head and reminded, âMommy, remember to eat the hot cross bunnies before they get cold.â
âI will.â Charlotte grabbed two hot cross bunnies before she went upstairs with Zachary.
Henry cast a glance at the two ascending the stairs. Then, he started playing with the kids in the living room. âJamie, come, show me your martial arts moves. Iâve never seen them before.â
âAlright!â
Jamie held the hot cross bunnies with his teeth and then did a few flips. After that, he demonstrated some strikes and punches.
His moves were inch-perfect and swift, just like his father when he was young.
Feeling glad, Henry complimented, âJamie, youâre really good at it.â
âGreat-grandpaâ¦â Jamieâs hot cross bunnies dropped the moment he opened his mouth. In the blink of an eye, Fifi took a plunge in the air and snatched the bun. Jamie immediately went after him, yelling, âFifi! Give me back my hot cross bunny!â
Having learned from Jamieâs mistake, the clever Fifi knew it shouldnât open its mouth. It flew around in the living room in circles before flying out of the window.
âYou naughty Fifi!â Jamie ran out the door, hopping up and down to catch the parrot.
âStop chasing Fifi!â Robbie called out from behind, âJamie, come back!â
âBoys are indeed childish.â Ellie held her head high, pouting.
Hearing her remark, Henry, Spencer and the others burst into laughter.
Standing behind Henry, Spencer spoke up, âOh, how wonderful it is to have the whole family gather around, spending some lovely family moments together!â
Henryâs laughter died away after hearing Spencerâs words. For a moment, he seemed to be deep in his thought. After some time, he returned to his senses and then beckoned Robbie over. âRobbie, show me your software.â
Robbie brought his tablet and clicked into the software he designed. âGreat-grandpa, this software is specifically for kids under the age of six. Once the parents save their kidsâ fingerprints, they can easily track their location. If a kid gets lost, or if there are any emergencies, the system will immediately issue an alert and send the kidâs location to the parentsâ device.â
