Chapter 825
Mistaking a Magnate for a Male Escort
âAlright then, letâs leave earlier today,â said Henry. He stroked Jamieâs head and continued, âYour daddy is on a business trip, and Robbie is probably bored at home now. Letâs leave earlier and meet him at Fairytale Land.â
âOh, okay,â murmured Jamie. He knew it wasnât appropriate for him to press on, so he changed tactics and said, âLet me go get my backpack.â
âJamie, help me take my backpack as well,â requested Ellie. She didnât know that they were already assigned a task and that the mission was ongoing.
âYour backpack is so heavy. Go get it yourself,â Jamie declined. âCome on. Weâll go together.â Jamie needed an excuse to drag Ellie away.
Ellie harrumphed and frowned in annoyance before complaining, âYou are so mean.â
âWeâll get the teachers to bring them over for you,â suggested the principal immediately.
âThereâs no need for that. Let them do it on their own,â refused Henry grimly. âThe Nacht family members were taught to always accomplish their tasks by themselves. Please donât give the kids special treatment. Just treat them like they are normal kids.â
âUnderstood,â replied the principal while nodding.
âYou may get back to work. Thereâs no need to keep us company,â instructed Henry when he saw the other kids peeking over. âThe other kids and their parents are staring, and this will affect everyone negatively.â
âThat isâ¦â said the principal as he turned to the directors, who exchanged glances with him.
âI have some questions for the kidsâ teacher, but everyone else should go,â instructed Henry sternly.
âUnderstood,â said the principal. Everyone bowed politely before leaving in a hurry.
Henry had his men push him in his wheelchair to the other side so that he wouldnât affect the other kids and their parents. After that, he asked the teacher about how Jamie and Ellie were doing at school.
At that moment, Jamie dragged Ellie to the side and shared Robbieâs plan with her.
Hearing that got Ellie to turn pale, and she said, âIsnât it a little too dangerous for Robbie to carry out the mission on his own? Thereâs a scary eagle in Northridge. What if it attacks Robbie like it did the last time?â
âIâm worried about that too, but Robbie already set everything in motion, so all we can do is support him. If we donât, the entire plan will go up in smokes,â replied Jamie with a frown. He sounded worried as well.
âButâ¦â
âDonât worry. The eagle was injured the last time we encountered it, and its injuries seemed grave, so I donât think Robbie will be in any danger,â cooed Jamie. âAll we need to do now is work with him so that he is not taking a risk in vain.â
âOkay, then,â replied Ellie while nodding. She then reminded, âThe plan is preponed, so you should call Robbie and tell him about it. Iâll go grab my backpack and keep Great-grandpa distracted.â
âOkay,â said Jamie. Then he quickly called Robbie.
Robbie was distracted in class that day. He would check on Fifi every now and then by peeking at his phone.
That idiot is actually resting in a birdâs nest and is on the verge of falling asleep!
Robbie frowned in exasperation, utterly speechless. I knew it. That stinking bird is completely unreliable!
Just then, Robbieâs smartwatch rang. The call was from Jamie.
âRobbie, what are you doing?â said the teacher while frowning at him.
âMy baby brother called,â answered Robbie as he showed her his smartwatch. âHe doesnât usually call me at this hour. Something important mustâve happened. I should take this.â
âAlright, then,â the teacher agreed and paused the class.
Robbie walked to the washroom to pick up the call. âHi, Jamie.â
âGreat-grandpa is getting us out of class earlier today, Robbie. Itâs likely that he has already sent his men over to take you to Fairytale Land. You will have to bring your plan forward,â informed Jamie, who deliberately spoke softly as he was worried about someone else overhearing him.
âI got it. Weâll proceed in accordance with our original plan,â replied Robbie calmly.
âBe careful. If you come across that eagle, just scream for help. Donât try to be a heroâ¦â
âRelax⦠Itâs wounded, so it canât hurt me,â replied Robbie nonchalantly. âYou donât need to worry about me, okay? Just play your part well.â
âOkay.â
After hanging up the call, Robbie left the washroom. Cain happened to knock on the door at that moment and informed, âMr. Nacht has instructed me to take you to Fairytale Land to meet up with them.â
