Chapter 471
Guardian-In-Law by Five Generals
Chapter 471 An Update âAre you alright, Mr. Braders?â
With Caesar kneeling for no reason, everybody went to help him up.
Kiev said, âAre you unwell from the travel here, Mr. Braders? Why donât you take a break before getting down to business? The divorce proceedings arenât urgent.â
âUm... Uh... Um...â
Caesar looked at Kaze in terror and helplessness. Fear got a grip on his throat.
âDo you know him, Mr. Braders?â
Kiev frowned.
The way Caesar looked at Kaze was strange to Kiev. Kiev glanced at Kaze skeptically but could not figure out Caesarâs reaction.
Kaze was a nobody, and Kiev had no doubt about it.
âOh, we have met.â
Since Kaze would not give Caesar any attention, Caesar did not want to overstep his boundaries and answered vaguely. He broke out in a cold sweat.
So they had met before, and that was all that happened.
Not reading into the matter, Kiev said, âYou can just tell your employees to process the divorce while you take a break, Mr.
Braders.â
âErm...â
With Kiev clinging to the divorce, Caesar wished he could just shut his 1.3 +25 BONUS mouth.
âMr. Braders, just do as Mr. Clifford told you to.â
Kazeâs taunting voice was heard.
Caesarâs jaw dropped.
âI-I wouldnât dare...â
Caesar choked with sobs. He wished he could turn back time.
Due to Kiev, Caesar got himself involved with Kazeâs personal business.
This would be the death of him.
âJust do it.â
Kaze hurled the file containing the documents at Caesar.
Enraged, Kiev criticized, âWhatâs with your attitude, Kaze? Show some respect to Mr. Braders. Who do you think you are? How dare you throw things at Mr. Braders?â
âIâm fine. Iâm fine. Iâll get right to it.â
Heeding Kazeâs words, Caesar took the file to the office right away.
Kiev smiled in delight. âDonât worry, Kaze. Mr. Braders will keep things going. Once he gives the okay, you and Darcy can file for divorce.â
Kaze glanced at Kiev and shook his head without a word.
Agnes mistook Kazeâs expression for despair. She sighed and felt sorry for him.
âI only push for a divorce this time because you got yourself in big trouble, Kaze. Youâre only married to Darcy by name, and we have lived together for a while.
713 +25 BONUS âIf you somehow manage to make it out of this, Iâll get Darcy to find a job for you. At least youâll have a roof over your head.â
Agnes was kind-hearted even though that side of her was rarely seen.
She could not accept Kaze to be her son-in-law. With Kaze and Darcy about to divorce, she could finally feel at ease.
Feeling touched, Kaze felt less anger toward Agnes.
He looked up and said with a smile, âItâs too early to say that. Thereâs no telling whether Darcy and I will divorce. Youâre still my mother-in- law.â
Agnes saw red. She thought that Kaze said that deliberately to tick her off.
âDonât be ungrateful, Kaze. You can sleep under a bridge and starve to death for all we care!â
Then, Caesar drew close.
He looked at Kaze restlessly. âYou can start the filing now.â
Kiev consoled Agnes. âDonât let him get to you, Agnes. They can proceed to fill the forms now.â
âThatâs right. Go and fill out the forms now!â
Agnes pulled Darcy, who was a wreck, from the chair.
An employee hurried out.
âMr. Braders, we have an update from the administration.â
