Chapter 800
Guardian-In-Law by Five Generals
Chapter 800 SelfâDefense âI think it will be incredibly satisfying to see Kaze locked up helplessly behind bars as his wife loses the companies, and his family tears apart. Itâs not like he can do anything to stop it.â
Gregory laughed out loud.
His bloodshot eyes looked manic.
Gregoryâs son was confined to the bed, and he hated Kaze for it.
âHaha! I canât wait!â
Like Gregory, Hudson was eager to witness Kazeâs downfall.
Meanwhile, the police had Kaze in custody for throwing Aaron out of the third floorâs window.
The word traveled to Lilyroseâs upper crust.
The sighting of the ambulance and police cars made it unlikely to cover up the truth.
âKaze is a loser. He knew Blake would have his head for hurting Aaron. Still, he did it anyway. He could be selfâsabotaging.
âIt is a pity that Aaron survived. He was taken to the ER. Blake will surely take out his anger on Kaze and his family.
Some gloated, while others expressed sympathy.
However, no one believed Kaze would be able to walk away a free man now that the police. had taken him.
With the support of the two prominent families, Blake would not stop until Kaze was dead.
âMayor Bowman, we have arrested Kaze as instructed. We are on our way to the station. Do you have further instructions for us?â
In the police car, Kevin gave Blake a call to provide an update.
Kevin fawned on Blake over the phone.
After Blake took Don out, Kevin switched his allegiance to Blake.
Last night, Kevin shut down several of Gold Toothâs and Danâs business operations. Appreciative of Kevinâs efforts and competence, he was promoted straight to captain. âTake him to the mayorâs office. I have another case I want to talk to him about.â
Blakeâs voice came on the other end of the line.
BONUS He did not have full confidence in the police yet, worried that someone might just let Kaze go.
Don had been in power for a while, and many were loyal to him. Although Blake had weeded these people out, some could slip through the cracks.
The mayorâs office was a different story. Blake could trust everybody there.
âSure thing.â
Kevin put down the phone and patted Kazeâs shoulder defiantly. âThe mayor thinks too highly of you. He wants you at the mayorâs office for interrogation. Tsk. There goes my chance to prove myself.â
Kaze glanced at the snob without a word.
Soon, he was taken to the mayorâs office.
âKaze!â
Blake was there, expecting his arrival.
As Kaze was brought in, Blake hissed his name through clenched teeth, his eyes filled with resentment.
Aaron was still in emergency care, a far cry from safety.
Blake walked up to Kaze and asked menacingly, âTell me. Why did you throw my son out of the window? Why did you try to kill him?â
âWhy donât you ask what your son did to my wife?â
Kaze added curtly, âHe brought along many authorities to make my wife hand over her companiesâ shares. He threatened her with the lives of her family and even forced her to sleep with him or jump off the building. I was only acting in selfâdefense.â
âSelfâdefense, my ass.
Blake yelled angrily, âEven if my son made your wife take her life, she deserved it. Her life 12/3 +15 BONUS isnât worth more than my sonâs!
âYou shouldnât have hit my son, burnt his mouth with a cigarette, and pushed him out of the window.
âYouâre asking for it, Kaze!â
Blakeâs angry cries echoed through the front yard of the mayorâs office.
