âDarcy, letâs go have a look at the elevator later,â Miru said as she tugged on Darcyâs sleeve.
âIâll pass. I have to go back with Kaze later...â
Darcy was a little tipsy after a few glasses of wine.
Miru sighed disappointedly and said, âYou are still thinking about that retard? This is a golden opportunity! If we leave a strong impression -on those people, your family wonât have to worry about money anymore!â
âThen... alright.â
A while later, Geoffrey received a call.
Everyone got nervous. Was the important person coming down. already?
Geoffrey put his phone down helplessly. âMy father just called told me the dinner is over. The important person has left.â
âHow unfortunate. I thought we could get a glimpse of the person.
Everyone sighed.
âDarcy, are you done?â
Kaze came into the room.
âKaze, what are you doing here? Go away!â
Miru was still reeling in the disappointment of not seeing the important figure. Kazeâs appearance annoyed her and she raised her nunu to giup i Swish!
Kaze caught her by the wrist. âMiru, I know you are a feisty girl and since you are Darcyâs friend, Iâll let you go this time. No more after this.â
âYou useless piece of trash! How dare you talk to me like that?!â Miru was fuming.
Geoffrey slammed the table and bolted up. âHey punk, put your hands down. Itâs your honor to get slapped by Ms. Scarlet!â
âWho are you?â Kaze asked coldly.
âThis is the eldest son of John Walker. Put your hands down!â
âJohn Walkerâs son? Not even your father dares to speak to me like that,â Kaze narrowed his eyes and said coldly.
âYou little bastard!â
Geoffrey was shocked before he was infuriated. He strode to Kaze and rolled his sleeves up, preparing to slap him in the face.
Slap!
Kaze released Miruâs hand and did a reverse slap.
Argh!
Geoffrey was sent flying with blood trickling from his nose and mouth. His face swole instantly.
Everyone in the room gasped in shock.
Kaze slapped Geoffrey in the face!
Henry got on his feet and shouted, âKaze, what the hell are you doing? Youâre not just endangering yourself, but Darcy and her family as well, Darcy and her parents turned pale.
Kaze was the only one who remained calm in the room.
âDarcy, donât worry. Heâs just a spoiled brat, I can slap him however I want and nothing will happen to me.
Everyone thought Kaze was spouting nonsense.
âMr. Walker, are you alright?â
Henry and Miru nervously went over to Geoffrey to help him up.â
âGet off me!â
Enraged, Geoffrey pushed the two of them away.
No one had ever disrespected him since he was young, and not even his father had ever slapped him.
âPunk, just you wait! Iâll make sure you canât leave this place standing!â
While glaring at Kaze, Geoffrey made a call to his father.
âFather, I just got slapped here at Cloud Nineâs third floor the boys, I want this bastard dead!â
âWhat? Iâll bring them over right away!â
Everyone heard Johnâs anger through the loudspeaker of the p âKaze, you jinx, look what youâve done!â Agnes screamed at him.
Kaze slapped the son of John Walker, the person in charge of the Provincial Urban Development System. Not even the Quint family dared to oppose them.
âMr. Walker, Kaze didnât mean it! Please forgive him!â
mon Darcyâs face was as pale as paper. She wanted to kneel and beg but hase supponer âItâs okay, Darcy. He should be the one worrying now.â
Everyone thought he had gone mad, spewing such audacity after what he had done.
Agnes collapsed on her chair, unable to believe what just happened.
âWho slapped my son?â
A while later, John came to Moonlight Breeze Hall, followed by a group of tall men.
âDad, itâs this bastard! Some stupid retard son-in-law of a second-tier family!â
Geoffrey pointed at Kaze. âI scolded him and he said that not even you dared to speak to him like that.â
Everyone looked at Kaze as if he was a dead man.
John was fuming to learn of what transpired.
âVery well. It has been a while since someone spoke to me like that.â
John scoffed as he looked around and ultimately landed his Kaze.
He was petrified on the spot.
âLee, Lee...â
He had goosebumps all over his body and he stammered, unable utter a word properly.
ภThen, he swung a slap at his sonâs face, slamming him onto the floor.
âYou little bastard! Trying to act tough, huh? So full of yourself! How dare you cause trouble at Cloud Nine? If you want to die, Iâll be more than happy to oblige!â
John kicked and punched without holding back, regardless if Geoffrey was his son.
Geoffrey was crying in pain and shock.
Everyone was stunned.
What happened? They expected Kaze to be beaten but it was Geoffrey instead.
âGet up and apologize!â
John pulled Geoffreyâs hair up and forced him to apologize to Kaze.
Kaze was not overly bothered. He casually waved his hand at John.
John breathed a sigh of relief as a heavy burden was lifted from his shoulder. He grabbed his son out of the room and left the restaurant immediately.
The Moonlight Breeze Hall remained silent for a while even after the father and son left.
Everyone looked at Kaze blankly.
A while later, Henry cleared his throat and awkwardly said, âMr. Walker is really strict in teaching Geoffrey!â
It felt wrong. Everything felt wrong but no one was able to explain why.
Darcy and her family felt relieved after escaping potential punishment.
âKaze, youâre lucky enough to escape this time but donât think it is because of you.â
Henry peered down at Kaze and said, âDo you realize what wouldâve happened to Darcy and her parents if I hadnât retrieved the debt for them?â
+25 BONUS âCome again? You recovered the debt?â Kaze narrowed his eyes coldly.
âWho else? You? The retard?â
Miru nudged Henry and said, âHenry, stop wasting time on him. Letâs get the bill and leave. Iâve lost my appetite.â
Henry then rang the bell for the waiter.
âMr. Hilfinger, Mr. Giovani Beneli has paid for the meal.â
Henry was surprised. He then laughed hysterically and said, âKaze, now do you still have doubts about me recovering the debt for Darcy? Pietro is Giovaniâs men. He must have gotten the bill because Pietro and I are close.â
The man was overflowing with delight.
Agnes narrowed her eyes. âGiovani Beneli got the bill for us? Henry, you really are something! If only Darcy can just marry you, then she wonât get bullied anymore.â
Darcy frowned.
Seeing almost no response from Darcy, Miru said, âHenry, Darcyâs birthday is in three days, shouldnât you....â
âOf course...â
Before Henry could finish, Kaze intervened and said, âMiru, Darcy is my wife and Iâll make sure she has the grandest birthday party. I donât need you, an outsider, to meddle in. But since you are Darcyâs friend, Iâll allow you to attend.
âHenry, you can come have a look as well.â
