The Talk

WRONG NUMBER, But Thanks For Calling?

Peter got back from the bathroom and smiled. "Thanks again for giving me some food," he said. Tony couldnt speak he was so suprised.

Peter turned around slowly and confusedly. Tony did the first thing he thought of. He shot up and opened the door. "That'll be all today, Pete." He said.

Peter turned back around and saw Tony. "What?" Peter smiled. Tony squirmed and moved anxuously. "You okay, sir?" Peter asked. Tony didnt awnser.

Peter grabbed his bag and hesitantly walked out of the door. "Shall I come in tomorrow?" He asked.

Tony looked around. "No, Thatll be okay." And then he closed the door.

That's it.

Peter stood out in an empty hallway, trying to figure out what he did. He knocked back on the door, but tony didnt answer. Peter sighed and took out his phone. It was 9:30am, so what now?

LUNCH TIME, PETERS ROOM

Peter layed on his bed. What did I do? He thought.

Maybe he doesn't like people using the bathroom? He wondered. Peter checked his phone and noticed he had gotten nothing from his text friend.

Peter sighed and slapped on his suit. No need to pout around about someone not liking him.

He got out his phone for one last look. Nothing.

"Hey karen, put my phone on silent." He said as he put on his mask. Being out in broad daylight, Peter decided to go out the laundry room of the apartment, into the alleyway so no one saw.

Bjt for that, he'd need to walk out of the apartment as spiderman. Hopfully no one would see him.

Peter popped his head out if his apartment room. He checked, no one was there. Good, but he needed to go down 4 flights of stairs.

Luckily though, being spiderman has it's up sides, and Peter knew how to hide.

He snuck down one flight, and heard someone coming. He clicky jumped up to the roof and stuck in the corner. The person didn't see.

Another flight of stairs, no one was there. Peter sighed, thankgod.

Second last flight of stairs, somone wuikcoy jogged up the hallway, so Peter hopped up and stuck to the roof, but in an akward, annoying position. Peter hoped the person would just logged past, but they stopped, right down below peter.

"Come on-" peter whispered. The person grabbed out their water bottle and drank like what, 2 litres? Peter's fingers began to slip, and he squeaked.

The person paused. They turned their head slowly, but suddenly just...jogged away.

Apon further inspection, peter noticed they head headphones in. Phew.

On the last flight of stairs, no one was there! Woohoo, Peter celebrated. He quickly ran out the laundromat door, and exited out the window, and into the alley.

He sighed and took off his mask, needing to take a breath. Then, somthing stank. And like, really stank.

Peter turned around and noticed a man holding a bag of trash, walking to the bin.

Peter froze and stared at the man.

The man stared at Peter and froze.

Peter slowly put on his mask. The man had glasses and a nice jumper on. He looked old and like a nice man. He barely, but had some greys hair on his head and a faint mustache.

He waved away Peter. "I know how to keep a secret." The man said. Peter smiled under his mask and jogged off out onto the street looking for danger.

Peter swung up onto a high building and sighed, looking down at the people 10 stories below. He missed people. He never said it outloud, but he was lonely.

His mum and dad, dead. Auntie and uncle, dead. His only friendship seems more like a side job honeslty. He had gotten close to tony, but now he didnt know what was going on.

And every time Peter went out onto the streets, looking for people to help, he saw it. He saw all of it. All the people hanging out with their parents like he cant.

All the big families deciding to have a day out with their uncles and aunts.

All the big friend groups that try to sneak into R rated movies, or hang out at the skate park til the stars are out. All the things Peter wanted.

And sure, he could have it. He could meet somone, fall in love and grow up to have his own family, but how would that work?

What would happen if spiderman just....left? How would his family go with Peter randomly leaving and maybe never coming back? Like his own mom and dad.

He knew he could never have that, and it broke his heart. Peter stood up on the ledge. No, dont worry, he doesnt want to kill himself.

But he heard somone.

Peter turned around and saw Hawkeye. "Hey man." He said.

Peter looked around, Karen scanned. "everyone else is here." She said. Peter sighed. Why would they want to capture him? Peter didnt know. But he knew he obviously couldnt be captured.

"Hey Clint." Peter said. Clint widened his eyes. "You know my name?" He asked.

Peter shrugged. "I've done my research." He said.

Hawkeye nodded slowly. "Look, we only need to talk to you about somthing." He said.

Peter laughed. "Yeah, I know. But I need to go." Peter said. He turned around and shot a web to a different building. "See ya." He nodded to Clint and jumped off. Clint sighed and signaled everyone over.

Tony was the first to get there in his suit. "Please tell me he's leaving to come back with snacks." He said.

Clint couldnt be bothered with tony, and he just left. Tony stared off to see spiderman swinging building to building, away from them. He decided not to give up that easy.

Tony jumped off the roof and used his thrusters to catch up to spiderman.

He got up to speed with Peter, and slowed down for him. "Iron man is on your upcoming right." Karen announced.

Peter looked to his right, and sure enough, iron man showed up. Peter didnt stop swinging. "Hey." Tony said.

Peter sighed. "Hey." He said back. Never, did he want one of the first one-to-one moments between him and iron man to be as cold and rude as it needed to be.

"Whats-uh, goin on?" Tony asked. Peter slowed down his swinging. "Not much, man." He stated the obvious. He stared straight ahead, ready to take off, when tony spoke in a tone that stuck out.

"Will you please just, listen to us?" He asked. Peter turned to him, while still swinging. With the years of experience Peter has had, he could do pretty much anything while swinging.

"I..." peter began. He was going to swing away, but then it hit him that iron man was Tony. And Tony was his boss.

"I'll think about It." He finished, staring into the iron man mask. Peter signed and swallowed down guilt. "I really do need to go somwhere, so I'll catch up with you later." He said.

Tony underneath the armour, smiled. That was easier than he thought. Maybe getting him to recruit on a mission would be simpler than thought.

"Alright." Tony agreed. "Meet up with you later." He said.

Peter felt so guilty. He wasnt going to meet up. He didnt know if the avengers really wanted to just talk, or if they really wanted to capture him. But as a 15 year old living a double life, he couldnt risk it.

Spiderman quickly swung off, and Tony flew back to the building, back to the avengers.

He stepped out of his armour, making everyone stop talking and look at him.

"What happened?" Steve asked.

"Well, everyone get into..." he looked around. Steve, thor, nat and Clint were all wearing their suits. Tony stared at bruce, the only one wearing a normal outfit. "Normal clothes. We have a mission." He said.

Peter spent the next 30 minutes swinging around, but nothing happened. The day was okay. Peter swung into a public bathroom, subtly shooting a web on the cameras and took off his suit to wear an everyday outfit.

Might as well slightly enjoy the day as it is.

He walked out, stuffing his suit in his bag and onto the pathway. Peter noticed how much he was...rarely out. He had no one to hang out with.

Now Peter was bummed lol.

He didnt want to give in, but he decided to walk to the library and be alone, instead of enjoying the outdoors.

But, somone ruined his plan.
