Chapter 172
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Allison chuckled, she often hitched a ride with Daisy and was familiar with Cliff Hearing his words, she cheekily responded, âSo, Cliff, I wouldnât be pretty without makeup?â
âMs. Zimmer, you are always prettyâ
Allison looked at herself in the rear view mirror With makeup on she looked more like Penelope. Their auras were different, but the face..
She shook her head not wanting to think about that woman anymore.
The car stopped at the pier. The birthday party was on a cruise not far away. Cliff said, âMs. Zimmer, Iâll wait here. Just give me a shout when youâre ready to leave âOkayâ
Allison grabbed the gift box and put on Daisyâs sunglasses that were left in the car before getting on the boat.
It was the biggest tourist cruise in Northfield, the Star 089.
The banquet hall was three stories.
The deck was bustling Allison walked into the foyer, told the server she was attending Mr. Jewell Gageâs birthday party, and was immediately ushered upstairs.
As she was walking past the secondâfloor banquet room, the door happened to open. People in formal attire seemed to be attending a business event.
The server said. âThis way, please. Mr. Jewellâs birthday party is on the third floor.â
On the third floor, a group of young men and women were celebrating a birthday Allison walked in, and a girl spotted her, âWho are you? Youâre so late. Weâre about to cut the cake.â
Everyone surrounded Jewell. He looked up at the person standing at the doorway. His eyes lit up. âYou areâ¦â He didnât remember having such a beautiful classmate. If he had seen her before, he wouldâve remembered.
âIâm Daisyâs friend. She couldnât make it today, so Iâm here to bring a birthday gift for her.â Allison handed him the gift box and said, âHappy Birthday.â
âSo youâre Daisyâs friend Jewell accepted the gift and invited Allison, âJoin us for cake. The party just startedâ
Allison wanted to decline, but two girls eagerly pulled her to join them.
She had no choice but to stay. After all, this was someoneâs birthday, and she was here representing Daisy. She couldnât disappoint Allison took a bite of the cake. The strawberry filling was rich. She delicately wiped her lips, took out her phone, and sent Daisy a video. Just then, Jewell came over with two glasses of champagne and handed her one, and asked her, âMay I know how to address you, miss?â
*Just call me Ms. Zimmer,â Allison politely answered.
âMs. Zimmer.â Jewellâs gaze lingered on her as he tried to find a topic, âWhat is Daisy busy with today?
I called her last night, and she said she would come.â
Allison, of course, couldnât say that Daisy had been arranged for a blind date. All she could say was, âDaisy was unexpectedly busy today. But she insisted that I bring you a birthday gift.â
Her words were vague, neither clear nor wrong Jewell didnât care about these details. He just wanted to chat more with Allison. After several failed attempts to start a conversation, he felt embarrassed and left with his glass Allison ate some food from the buffet table. Daisy kept sending her messages, complaining about her blind date and how every second was torture.
After sending Daisy a comforting emoji, Allison glanced at the time, looked around at the colorful crowd in the banquet hall, and then got up to leave. She carefully walked downstairs, wearing high heels to match her outfit. She was careful with each step.
