Chapter 232
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Even though everyone knew that Lucian and Allison had vanished in the woods, it didnât mean they had a clue why. It wasnât until they heard Kamilla spill the beans that they realized Lucian had gone missing trying to save the maid, leaving them with weird looks.
Aidan looked around and asked, âWhereâs James?â
Jason replied, âHeâs on the island, looking for people with Carl,â
Aldan nodded, then gave an order to one of his guys, Iâm heading to the island, Jason. You guys hold the fort here.â
Kamilla grabbed his hand and said, âNo, Aidan. Itâs raining cats and dogs, the waves are crazy, and the trip to Pearl Island is long. Itâs a risky business.â But Aidan wasnât about to change his mind just because of Kamillaâs plea. He didnât even give her a second glance, shook off her hand, and walked off.
Kamilla tried to follow but was stopped by one of Aidanâs men.
âPlease, go back and rest.â
With no other choice, Kamilla turned around and left.
Despite the rough seas, Aidan managed to land on Pearl Island.
Carl, wearing a raincoat, said, âMr. Crane, what brings you here?â
Inside the control room, Aidan looked at the satellite map on the computer and asked, âHave they been found yet?â
Thereâs no signal in the deep woods. lanâs team is already there. Theyâre sending signals, moving towards the centerâ
Carl said, âWe should find them by dawn.â
Aidan replied. âI need 100% certainty. They must be found.â
Carl gritted his teeth and said, âYes, sir!â
Aidan looked out into the rainy night, gripping his cane tightly. He watched a blue flare explode in the night sky. Carl immediately pinpointed the location, Thatâs a flare from lan. Theyâre on trail 06, deep in the woods.â
The rain had eased up, and Allisonâs clothes were halfway dry. She put them back on.
She rechecked Lucianâs hand. The area around his wound was red and purplish. The snakeâs venom was potent, and although she had treated the wound promptly, Lucian was still running a high fever.
The herbs could only make him slightly more comfortable.
She was the reason the snake bit Lucian.
âI heard from Penelope that your mother is sick.â
The manâs voice came out of nowhere.
âWhat else did Penelope tell you?â Allison smirked a hint of sarcasm in her voice. âDid she also mention that she and Leah paid my motherâs medical bills?â
She looked up towards the cave entrance and whispered, âKidney failure. Needs money to survive.â
âDid you sell yourself for that?â
Allison clenched her fists, âMr. Lindberg, will you ask me who I sold myself to next? Would you believe me if I said it was you?â
Her words were dripping with sarcasm, which Lucian naturally didnât buy. He had been living abroad and only returned to Northfield four months ago. After being drugged, he spent a night with Penelope.
His first night with Allison was due to her drugging him during the Willowbrook College anniversary. By that time, Allison was no longer a virgin.
He said nothing more.
Allison whispered, âMr. Lindberg, who took my virginity, which I sold myself to, whose child Iâm carrying, do they matter to you?â
âNone of my business.â
âIf it has nothing to do with you, Mr. Lindberg, why do you care what I do?â
The man clenched his fist. Yeah, why did he care? What did this womanâs promiscuous private life have to do with him?
âOr is it, Mr. Lindberg, that you like me?â
