Chapter 252

Miranda was chit–chatting with Leah and Christopher in the living room.

Leah handed her a high–quality ruby bracelet, saying, “I came across this the other day. The color is really nice.”

Miranda took it without showing much excitement, after all, she didn’t lack such bracelets, but she accepted graciously, “Hmm, it is quite nice. Mrs. Flanagan, I didn’t bring any gifts this time, but instead, I received something from you.”

Leah laughed and replied, “As long as you like it, Miranda. I thought this bracelet would suit you the moment I saw it.”

Miranda smiled. Although the bracelet was not very expensive, it was a thoughtful gesture from Leah.

Lucian went out to the small balcony and lit a cigarette.

He pushed open the window, looking at the locked door of the small house opposite, seemingly deserted. There was only a bare cherry tree there, which made him frown slightly.

She was frightened by Lucian’s serious expression. She suddenly remembered some things between Lucian and Allison, wondering if Mr. Lindberg had anything to do with Allison. So she took out her phone and sent a message to Allison.

“Allison, where have you moved to?”

Penelope was very pleased to know that Lucian and Miranda were coming.

Linda answered, “I just saw Mr. Lindberg on the balcony.”

A while later, Lucian came over, “Mom.”

Penelope was just coming downstairs and saw Lucian.

He looked up at her. She was wearing a new outfit, a beige and brown plaid long dress. Her hair was loose at the back, and she had a subtle makeup on her face. He looked at her, somewhat captivated.

Penelope’s appearance reminded him of Allison.

After dinner at the Flanagan’s, Miranda and Leah were chatting in the living room. Miranda specifically asked Lucian to take Penelope for a walk.
