Chapter 27
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
At dinner time.
Lucianâs aunt, Cora LindbergâHamilton, was the last to arrive. When she walked in alone, Carler asked in displeasure, âWhereâs Jason?â
âHe said heâs going to a birthday party for a female classmate.â
âOh, Jason has a crush?â The old manâs face immediately lit up, nodding nonstop. âHeâs not a boy anymore. If sheâs the right one, wel should meet her.â
âOkay.â Cora LindbergâHamilton replied, but she didnât seem as happy as the old man. She knew her son too well to have high hopes.
Sitting nearby, Allison was taken aback by the conversation.
Lately, she hadnât seen Jason because of her busy schedule. But sheâd heard rumors at school that Jason was seeing a girl named Audrey.
So, it was true.
Well, that was good. At least he wonât bother her anymore, and she wonât have to keep making excuses to reject him.
On the way home, Lucian was driving. Through the rearâview mirror, he saw the agate necklace on Allisonâs neck, âDid Aunt give you this?â
After dinner, he saw Cora LindbergâHamilton taking her for a walk. When they came back, she was wearing, this necklace.
âYeah.â
âWhat did she tell you?â
âAunt saidâ¦â Allison began, then suddenly stopped. She blinked rapidly and fell silent.
âHmm?â Lucian was driving and thought he didnât hear clearly.
âAunt saidâ¦â Allison felt shy and whispered, âShe hopes we can set a wedding date soon and have a baby early.â
Through the rearâview mirror, Lucian looked at her. His eyes suddenly dimmed, and he squinted.
Itâs time to set a wedding date, but for some reason, Allisonâs face flashed through his mind at that moment.
Even as he looked at Penelope in the rearâview mirror, he seemed to see Allisonâs shadow.
That woman had indeed left a deep impression on him!
Meanwhile, at the hospital.
Two figures were tightly embracing on Penelopeâs bed.
Biting her lip, Penelope let out shy moans, which became increasingly bold.
The man gently patted her, âArenât you afraid of calling the nurses here with your noise?â
âItâs all because of you.â
Penelopeâs face was still covered with a red rash that hadnât faded. Her usually beautiful face didnât look so good now. The man found it somewhat distasteful, but this woman really knew how to let loose.
âWhen will your face get back to normal?â
âThe doctor said, as long as I control it, most of it will be gone by next week.â Penelope also felt uncomfortable. If it werenât for the allergy, she would be the one at the Lindberg familyâs house right now, and there would be no need for Allison to replace her.
The corner of the manâs mouth curled up, revealing a smirk, âWhat do you think would happen if your parents saw us?â
Immersed in their affair, Penelope was sweating profusely, âMy parents wonât come at night, Pete; donât leave tonight, Iâm so bored alone.â
âAm I much better than Lucian?â The man known as Pete was Davidâs son. Every time Pete thought of Lucian, his eyes filled with competitive desire.
Penelope was taken aback. She and Lucian hadnât been intimate, so how could she possibly know what he was like?
Despite the events of that night at the hotel, where she successfully got Lucian to propose, Lucian barely touched her. His attitude towards her was polite but also distant and cold.
This annoyed Penelope to no end.
