Chapter 293
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Allison put the necklace into her bag and turned to leave.
Margo happened to be on the backdoor balcony. She opened the window and glared at Allison, âWho the hell let you back in? Youâve got some nerve showing up again! Remember when you pushed me down the stairs and I broke my arm? Youâll see whatâs coming for you!â
As Margo finished, she straightened her back and staggered to block Allisonâs path.
Allison glanced at the bandage on Margoâs arm and the corners of her mouth curled up. âSo, you think one broken arm isnât enough and want to even it out with another one, huh?â
Margo took a step back, âAllison, this is the Flanagans residence, how dare you cause a ruckus!â
Allison intended to leave, not wanting to waste her breath arguing with Margo, but she was standing in her way Allison frowned.
Margo seemed determined to teach Allison a lesson. She had been bedridden for days after the fall from the stairs and had even broken her arm. Since Mrs. Flanagan and Mr. Flanagan were having a spat, she had to bear the pain alone. After snagging the necklace, Penelope was all wrapped up in the Lindberg family affairs and didnât give a damn about her.
âSomeone stop her!â Margo shouted towards the people inside the house of the Flanagans.
The kitchen staff rushed over at the sound. Linda looked at Allison, clearly feeling a bit uncomfortable.
She lowered her head and asked, âMargo, what do you need me to do?â
âStop Allison!â
âMargo, Iâve got soup on the stove in the kitchen that needs watching. This is from Ms Flanagan for Mr.
Lindberg. I canât leave. I have to go back now.â As Linda finished, she took one look at Allison, then walked away with her head down Margo was fuming, but she couldnât control Allison with one hand and could only resort to hurling threats Allison gave her a look and purposefully stepped on Margoâs foot as she walked past Margo bent over in pain and yelled. âYou witch, Allison, youâll pay for this!â But the pain made it impossible for her to stand, and she was left sitting on the ground, yelling.
Allison locked the necklace in a drawer, glanced at her phone, then changed into a new outfit, ready to find Gavin.
She was scheduled to start filming that afternoon. Due to Penelopeâs foot injury, all of Deilaâs scenes had to be rewritten. They were just finished that afternoon, and Allison officially joined the cast of âMelody of Delightâ.
âOff to work, Allie?â Grace said, after she finished folding the clothes and brought them to Allisonâs room. Seeing Allison dressed and made up, she said with a laugh, âOur Allie looks so prettyâ
âMom, I might be home late tonight. There were night scenes to shoot.
âAlright, I wonât wait up.â
âMom, who gave you the necklace I found in the closet? Is it important?â if it was, she would get it back from Penelope.
âThe necklace⦠umâ¦â Grace looked a bit lost. âDid you ask Christopher about it?â
âNo, whatâs wrong, Mom?â
Grace wiped the cold sweat from her forehead and sighed in relief, âNothing, its just an ordinary necklace!
âReadyâ¦â
Everyone on the set was ready. Allison heard âActionâ and threw herself into the scene. She didnât expect her scene partner today to be Aaron Sheâd only met Aaron once, back at the Pearl Island party, when he and his sister were both there. But she hadnât had any real contact with him. Apparently, Aaron knew about Penelopeâs foot injury and the need for a replacement. This scene was one of the few remaining for his character and âDeilaâ, so he agreed He didnât expect that the person standing in front of her, who looked so much like Penelope, was Allison.
