The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
10 am. in the morning, the sun was spilling through the windows into the private room, Allison slowly opened her eyes, her neck and arms aching from spending the whole night in the same position. She looked around and realized she was still in the private room. Had she not gone home last night?
Just as she was about to get up, Payton, who had been sleeping leaning on Allisonâs shoulder, woke up too.
âHuh.â Paytonâs eyes were so red and swollen she could barely open them. She looked at Allison.
Remembering their drinking spree in this room the night before, they couldnât help but grin at each other.
âMan, you picked up the tab last night, didnât you? An overnight stay in a booth at Red Jack Club doesnât come cheap.â Payton said, rubbing her head, Allison chuckled, âI did it to keep you companyâ
Rubbing her neck, Payton said, âAllison, you make more dough than I do.â
Allison stood up, stretching out her stiff shoulders, âAlright, alright. Considering you were crying your eyes out last night, Iâll foot the bill.â
They started to clean up the room. They had drunk quite a bit the previous night, finishing off six bottles of beer, Rubbing her hangover-stricken head, Payton said. âNo wonder my headâs pounding âDo you want to go home and rest? Allison asked.
âRest? Weâre supposed to go shopping this afternoon. I covered Veraâs shift last night and promised to buy her a necklace. Now that I think about it, it wasnât worth it. I spent two hundred bucks and I didnât even get a good look at that guyâs face! Payton said, looking downcast, âI wonder when Arthur will come backâ
Allison asked. âAre you sure was him?â
Payton sighed softly I didnât see his Iâm sure it was him. Only he has that kind of vibe. Arthur, I can remember him just by his silhouetteâ
âWe could ask Sarah for sor nfo about this mysterious big boss laterâAllison said Before Allison could finish. Sarahs âNo need to wait, Iâm already are something else, drinking all right me from the doorway wearing a black lace dress with a military green coat over it, and she walked in wearing high heels, âYou two Allison grinned. Weâre just trying to boost your sales a bit, Saralıâ
Sarah sat on the couch laughing. âAt les your actual expense is 78, not bad at all ose our own place to open a room. You spend 80 and get a 2-dollar commission, not bad. So Payton said, âSarah we are internal staff, an we get a 20% discount?â
âOh, you two. Looks like Iâll be picking up the tabâ Sarah said Allison and Payton exchanged a glance. Well, thanks, Sarahâ
Sarah waved her hand. âAlright, you should go home and rest. You have to work tonightâ
Allison gave Payton a pat on the hand, signaling her to ask Sarah about Arthur since she was there.
Payton nodded, and then Allison left the booth.
Payton looked at Sarah, Sarah, have you ever met the boss here?â
Sarah replied. Payton, you know what, not being curious about everything helps you live longer Payton got the message. Last night, in the parking lot, I saw himâ
Sarah stood up. âPayton, youâre really brave, going to the parking lot to find the boss! Not to mention how it might affect your job, do you know how complicated the bossâs background is? If you accidentally upset him, can you handle the consequences?â
âSarah, I wonât hide it from you, I came here to find him.â Payton said
