Chapter 373
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Allison bit her lip so hard it started to hurt. Only when a coworker called her name did she snap out of it, murmuring a âthanks.â She grabbed some food from the convenience store and left.
It was clear in her mind now. Grace had been at Epic Entertainment with Penelope that morning.
Almost every morning, Grace would be there. Her sudden collapse must have had something to do with Penelope.
She hailed a cab and went to the buildingâs lobby. The two receptionists were engrossed in their TV series.
Allison put on a pair of sunglasses from her bag. let down her hair, and walked straight up to them. The receptionists didnât even notice her, still hooked on their show.
Allison lightly tapped the desk. One of them looked up. âMs. Flanagan, youâre here.â
âYeah, I have a question for you,â Allison said. âWhat time did my nanny come here three days ago in the morning?â
âJust a moment, let me check the records.â
Two minutes later, the receptionist said, âMs. Flanagan, your nanny Grace arrived at 9:16 a.m. three days ago and left at 11:20 Is there anything else you need help with, Ms. Flanagan?â
âNo, thatâs it.â
Allison turned around and left.
The receptionists went back to their show. âHey, didnât Ms. Flanagan just leave? Why is she back again?â
âWho knows? Canât figure out these rich people. Never mind her Allisonâs suspicion was correct. Graceâs sudden collapse was related to Penelope.
Penelope and Leah had really crossed the line! She had been trying to give them space, but they messed with her mom! Were they trying to back her into a corner?
She stepped out of Epic Entertainment, the sun shining brightly. She raised her face, a golden halo appeared before her eyes.
She closed her eyes.
After two minutes, she opened them, her sight becoming clearer. Her fingers clenched then released.
Even with the sun on her she still felt a chill down her spine.
Suddenly, a blast of a car horn. âHonk-Allison snapped out of it.
âAre you blind? Watch where youâre going!â
She realized she was standing in the middle of the road, and cars were passing her on both sides. A black Audi stopped just a meter away from her, the driver obviously pissed.
She apologized, âSorryâ
She moved to the sidewalk, took out her phone, and decided to dial a number â Lucianâs number.
The call went through after two rings. The man sounded tired like he just finished work. âHello.â
âItâs me, Allison.â
The man obviously knew it was her, he replied and waited for her to speak.
Allison asked, âDoes your offer still stand?â
âWhat offer?â He squinted slightly, pretending to be oblivious.
âThe one where⦠Allison bit her lip, her lips pale. âWhere you said I could be your mistressâ
She continued, âYou said you would fulfill all my requests, except marrying me!â
âOf course.â
Hearing his deep reply, she closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling. âAre you free tonight?â
âWhy, have you made up your mind?*
âYes.â Allison had made up her mind.
