Chapter 389
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Allison and Nicholas left the cemetery. Nicholas didnât drive. He and Allison took a cab. Since it was getting late, they found a restaurant to have dinner, and afterward, Allison planned to head to the Red Jack Club.
Nicholas didnât leave, âCoincidentally, Iâm also heading to the Red Jack Club.â
âGot a shindig tonight? Need me to book a private room for you in advance?â
âNot at the moment.â
At 6:30 PM, Allison turned up at the Red Jack Clubâs staff lounge. She changed her threads. Stepping out of the lounge, she spotted Serena giving the staff a piece of her mind. She hit the brakes. When Serena was done chewing out the staff and was about to return to her office, Allison piped up: âMs.
Serena.â
Serena swiveled around, eyeing Allison, âWhatâs up?â
Allison sauntered over, âMs. Serena, Iâve got some good news and some bad news. Which one do you wanna hear first?â
Serena was stumped. She cracked a smile, âWhatâs the good news?â
Allison and Serena were about the same height, but Serena was in heels, so she was a couple of centimeters taller. Allison leaned in, whispering. âThe good news is. Iâm quitting next week. You can take it up with Leah.â
Serenaâs face darkened. âAllison, I have no idea what youâre talking about.â
âMs. Serena, you donât need to know what Iâm talking about. Wanna hear the bad news?â
Serena kept her poker face, âWhatâs the bad news?â
âThe bad news is, you may also have to bail from the Red Jack Club next week. Allison saw Serenaâs face go pale. She cracked a smile, âOf course, Iâm just saying it might happen.â
Serena looked grim, âAllison, whoâs gonna leave is still up in the air.â
Allison nonchalantly fixed her hair, âSure, itâs uncertain. After all, Iâm leaving next week. I might not get to see you leave.â
and you âAllison, I never realized you were so articulate. Serena quickly bounced back. She thought Allison was bluffing. After all, sheâd been there for years, âI underestimated you. Youâre backing out, thatâs wise.
Otherwise, itâd be really embarrassing when I fire you leave with your tail between your legs.â
Allison casually replied, âSee you next week then.â
Allison hit the second floor. She didnât have a regular room there, she took turns with Ashley and others. Suddenly someone called her, âAllison, the guests in Room 208 want to see youâ
âGot it. Take care of things here.â
âSure.â
Allison walked into Room 208, knocking on the door. When she stepped in, she found the room massive. A gent was lounging on the sofa, decked out in black tracksuit, a far cry from his usual stiff and aloof suit and tie look. The current Lucian radiated a youthful vibe. He looked at Allison at the door, âNot coming in? How long are you gonna stand there?â
Allison walked in, âSir, what can I get you?â
Lucian grinned, âWhatever. You pick.â
Allison asked, âSir, are you alone?â Seeing Lucian nod, she continued, âThen I guess Iâll order less.â
Even though she said that, she ordered a bunch of pricey drinks and made Lucian foot the bill. Lucian glanced at the bill and signed with a smile. Allison called for the drinks to be prepared, then went to collect. Two minutes later, she returned to the room with seven or eight bottles of pricey booze. She asked, âSir, which one would you like to start with?â
Lucian looked at her and answered, âThe one in your hand.
