Chapter 390
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
Allison popped open a bottle of wine, poured a glass, and handed it over to Lucian. He downed it in one gulp, then set the glass down. Allison refilled it. This time, he didnât drink it. Instead, he gripped not only the glass but also her fingers and suddenly yanked her towards him.
Allison yelped in surprise. The glass slipped from her hand and wine splashed everywhere.
âSirâ¦
âIâve told you, call me Lucian.â
He pulled her down onto the couch. Allison looked at him, âLucian.â
âYou mad at me?â His voice was a bit husky.
Allison clamped her mouth shut and didnât answer.
Lucian leaned in to kiss her, his tongue exploring her mouth. He kissed her deeply as Allison wrapped her arms around his neck. They made out passionately for a while.
The couch wasnât that cramped, but their make-out session wasnât exactly unrestrained. Allisonâ shifted around and suddenly slipped off the couch, in a split second, Lucian flipped over to cradle her in his arms. His back was pressed against the carpet. Allison was sprawled on top of him, âYou okay?â
âIâm fine.â His voice was low and sexy, âYouâre not heavy.â
Allison clamped her mouth shut again, âSo, if I were heavier, you wouldnât protect me like this?â
âThatâs not what I meant.â He reached out, pinching her nose lightly. âStill mad?â
Allison huffed lightly. âWhat do you think? I waited for you for two hours. Lucian, you promised to watch a movie with me.â
She sounded upset.
Lucian raised a finger, brushing it against her nose, âSorry I went to the cinema, but by the time I got there, you had already left.â
âI waited for you for two hours. I waited until 10:30 and you were still a no show. You didnât go there at midnight, did you?â
Allison canât believe that he would go there in the middle of the night. Lucianâs gazes flickered slightly.
He did go there at midnight. He knew Allison would have already left by then, but he went to the cinema anyway.
âSo, tell me why you didnât show up on time?â
Lucian replied, âSomething came up, so I got delayed.â
Allison persisted, âWhat came up?â
He said, âItâs none of your business.â
Allison huffed again, standing up. âIf itâs none of my business, then I wonât ask. Mr. Lindberg, do you need more drinks? Or a fruit platter? If not, Iâll wait outside until you need something.â
Lucian chuckled. He knew she was mad at him. He reached out and grabed her waist before she can leave. They tumbled onto the soft couch together. Lucian held her, resting his chin on her shoulder, âIâll tell you, but you canât get mad.â
âMmm.â
âThat night Penelope came to find me. Sheâs pregnant, and she was very emotional.â
âSo, you stayed with her?â
Lucian laughed helplessly, âIsnât it because you went to Epic Entertainment? Did you do something to upset her? That afternoon, she kept calling me. I had a meeting, so I didnât answer. She came to find me at night, crying and making a scene. It gave me a headache. You know sheâs been pregnant for a while. If anything happened to herâ¦â
âSo, you went to be with your fiancee and left me hanging for two hours.â
âIâm sorry.â He apologized sincerely and planted a soft kiss on her cheek.
She still ignored him and he had to comfort her soothingly. Heâd never had to treat someone like this before. Allison was his first.
They were like a young couple in love. When the girl got upset, the boy would gently comfort her, kiss her cheek, and promise not to do it again. Allison suddenly felt tears welling up in her eyes. She didnât know how to describe her feelings at that moment. She suddenly didnât know who she was to him. Was she his mistress? His girlfriend? But heâd already engaged.
Penelope was eight and a half months pregnant and about to give birth. Once Penelope gave birth and married Lucian, Allison would become nothing Was she his secret mistress?
